Social Enterprise Exchange is funded by European Regional Development Fund 2014-2020 and The
National Lottery Community Fund
2. • From April 2022 the UK Shared Prosperity Fund
(UKSPF) will replace the European Regional
Development Fund and the European Social Fund
• UKCRF is a short-term pre-cursor to the UKSPF
• £220m available August 2021 – March 2022
• Up to £12m for South Yorkshire (£3m per LA)
• Priority areas: Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham
• Sheffield City Region Mayoral Combined Authority (SCR
MCA) to prepare a shortlist to submit to Government
• Similar arrangements in other localities

Community Renewal Fund and should align with at least
one of these investment priorities:
• Investment in skills
• Investment in local business
• Investment in communities and place
• Supporting people into employment
