‘I had sown a small
seed 20 years ago and it
has turned into a huge,

said. Noting that the iden-

A claim that an envelope
dropped in donation box
at Malaseri Dungri tem-

Modi during his visit to
1011th incarnation day of
lord Devnarayan con-
tained `21 has turned out
to be fake in a fact check.
Modi had visited the

Gurjar community on Jan
28. Recently, video went
viral in which a claim has
been made that PM Modi
made a donation in the
donation box and the en-
velope dropped by PM
contained `21. The enve-
lope was opened by priest
Hemant Poswal.When
the donation box was
opened on Sept 25, it re-
vealed a white envelope
with only `21. Subse-
quently, it was claimed
that white envelope was
dropped in box by PM.
However, a careful re-
view of video shows that
he had dropped notes,
which seem to be a bun-
dle of `200 and `500 de-
notes, in the donation
box and not an envelope.
The currency is visible in
the video and it is a bun-
dle as it takes effort to
push it through the slot.

Polls: Worries of
veteran Congress
leaders increase
Meaning of Bidhuri
being given
charge of Tonk!
Tonk: BJP played
Hindutva card in
Tonk. Ramesh Bidhuri,
who emerged as the face
of Hindutva, was made
in-charge of Tonk.
Bidhuri was in the
headlines
recently by
giving
controver-
sial
statements
against a
minority community in
the Parliament. And 5
days after this statement,
BJP sent Bidhuri to
Tonk. Tonk is consid-
ered a Muslim and
Gurjar dominated area.
Sachin Pilot is Congress
MLA from Tonk and
probably BJP made a
strategy to corner Pilot in
his own area.
Jaipur: The
Congress had
given hints regarding
releasing the first list
of candidates for the
assembly elections by
mid-September. There
were indications of
releasing the list soon
on the lines of
Karnataka. But month
of September is about
to end and Congress’s
first list has not been
released till now. On
the other hand, BJP
has also not released
its first list in Rajast-
han. In such a
situation, both BJP
and Congress are
confused about the
names of candidates
in Rajasthan. Now
probably both the
parties will release
their first list in
October.
Jaipur: Worries of
veteran Congress
leaders have increased
after news that the party
would not give tickets to
sons and daughters of
the veteran leaders who
aspire to
promote
the next
generation
in place of
them due
to their
advancing age. Young
leaders who have already
secured positions as
MLAs remain unfazed.
However, those who are
looking for tickets to their
sons and daughters in
place of them are
worried. They may also
present their loyalty to
the Gandhi family in a bid
to secure a ticket.
Jaipur: Sources in
New Delhi have
revealed that the next
CEC meeting of BJP is to
be held after October 15.
In such a situation, will
BJP’s first list be released
before the CEC meeting?
Because according to
sources no list is coming
in the next 48 hours.
There is no possibility of
the first list coming before
Shraddha Paksha. The
big question is, when will
the first list of BJP be
released? Some light
may be thrown on this
after the meeting of Amit
Shah and JP Nadda in
Jaipur on Wednesday.
RajasthanMPs’dilemma:Willbeableto
contest assembly elections or not?
Growing divide in two Jaipur Cong
leaders gives jitters to RR Tiwari
There is eagerness
and curiosity among
the Union Ministers and
MPs of Raj regarding
contesting the Assembly
elections. Will the formula
of Madhya Pradesh be
repeated in Rajasthan
also? According to
sources, some MPs and
Union Ministers are
willing to contest the
Assembly elections, while
some want to remain in
the Lok Sabha. According
to reliable sources, the
party is already relatively
strong in Rajasthan as
such there no need to
field Union Ministers and
MPs. But no one could
understand the strategy
of Narendra Modi and
Amit Shah. But at present
there is no indication of
fielding Union Ministers
and MPs in the Assembly
elections. However, there
are indications of Dr Kirodi
Lal Meena and Narendra
Khinchad contesting
Assembly polls. In MP,
BJP has fielded veterans
Narendra Singh Tomar,
Prahlad Patel and
Faggan Singh.

Jaipur: This political
gossip comes in the
wake of a growing divide
between two senior
Congress leaders of
Jaipur following the
Jaipur Heritage Mayor
episode. The strained
relations between two
seasoned Congress
leaders are palpable.
The bitterness has
escalated to the point
where communication
between them has
ceased in recent days.
Consequently, the
troubles of DCC
President RR Tiwari
have increased, as he
finds himself caught
between two warring
factions. Local Congress
members are anxious
that this feud might lead
to electoral setbacks for
the party.

Jaipur: Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat
on Wednesday took on the Congress-run Rajasthan
government, accusing it of corruption among others,
in mid-day meals and mining. “The present Ashok Gehlot
government is the most corrupt government of the demo-
cratic Rajasthan. Not only in mid-day meals, but the corrup-
tion happened in mining and others...,” the Jodhpur MP told
ANI. This comes a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi
launched a blistering attack on the Congress government
while addressing the ‘Parivartan Sankalp Mahasabha’
in Jaipur. After the state police found 1kg of gold in the
basement of an office in Jaipur earlier this year, the senior
BJP functionary said,” This would have happened for the
first time in history that gold was found in the cupboard of
Yojana Bhawan. After the central agencies started working,
more than 16 kgs of gold were found...”
Jaipur: In the
preparation for the
upcoming assembly
elections, BJP leaders from
various states have been
entrusted with responsi-
bilities in 44 organization
districts in Rajasthan. As
of now, 26 leaders have al-
ready arrived in Jaipur, with
the remainder expected to
join shortly. During a recent
meeting at the party’s state
headquarters, responsibili-
ties were allocated on an
assembly-wise basis.

“I would like to sug-

level of 40 crore to over

NEW UNFPA REPORT
‘Young India will soon turn into rapidly ageing society’
PTI
New Delhi
lderly popula-
tion in India is
expanding at an
unprecedented rate and
could surpass the chil-
dren’s population by
mid-century, a new UNF-
PA report said, underlin-
ing that the young India
will turn into a rapidly
ageing society in the
coming decades.
India has one of the
highest populations of
adolescents and young
people in the world.
At the national level,
the share of the elderly
(60+ years) population is
projected to increase
from 10.1 per cent in
2021 to 15 per cent in
2036 and 20.8 per cent in
2050, according to the
UNFPA’s ‘India Ageing
Report 2023’.”By the
end of the century, the
elderly will constitute
over 36 per cent of the
total population of the
country. Sharp growth in
the elderly population is
observed from 2010 on-
wards along with a de-
cline in the age group of
below 15 years, indicat-
ing rapidity of ageing in
India,” the report said.
The report noted that
the elderly population in
India is expanding at an
unprecedented rate and
may be expected to sur-
pass the children’s popu-
lation by mid-century.
“Four years before
2050, the population size
of elderly in India will be
higher than the popula-
tion size of children aged
0-14 years. By that time,
the population share of
15-59 years will also see
a dip. Undoubtedly, the
relatively young India to-
day will turn into a rap-
idly ageing society in the
coming decades,” it said.

There were indications of releasing the list soon on the lines of Karnataka. But month of September is about to end and Congress’s first list has not been released till now. On the other hand, BJP has also not released its first list in Rajast- han. In such a situation, both BJP and Congress are confused about the names of candidates in Rajasthan. Now probably both the parties will release their first list in October. Jaipur: Worries of veteran Congress leaders have increased after news that the party would not give tickets to sons and daughters of the veteran leaders who aspire to promote the next generation in place of them due to their advancing age. Young leaders who have already secured positions as MLAs remain unfazed. However, those who are looking for tickets to their sons and daughters in place of them are worried. They may also present their loyalty to the Gandhi family in a bid to secure a ticket. Jaipur: Sources in New Delhi have revealed that the next CEC meeting of BJP is to be held after October 15. In such a situation, will BJP’s first list be released before the CEC meeting? Because according to sources no list is coming in the next 48 hours. There is no possibility of the first list coming before Shraddha Paksha. The big question is, when will the first list of BJP be released? Some light may be thrown on this after the meeting of Amit Shah and JP Nadda in Jaipur on Wednesday. RajasthanMPs’dilemma:Willbeableto contest assembly elections or not? Growing divide in two Jaipur Cong leaders gives jitters to RR Tiwari There is eagerness and curiosity among the Union Ministers and MPs of Raj regarding contesting the Assembly elections. Will the formula of Madhya Pradesh be repeated in Rajasthan also? According to sources, some MPs and Union Ministers are willing to contest the Assembly elections, while some want to remain in the Lok Sabha. According to reliable sources, the party is already relatively strong in Rajasthan as such there no need to field Union Ministers and MPs. But no one could understand the strategy of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. But at present there is no indication of fielding Union Ministers and MPs in the Assembly elections. However, there are indications of Dr Kirodi Lal Meena and Narendra Khinchad contesting Assembly polls. In MP, BJP has fielded veterans Narendra Singh Tomar, Prahlad Patel and Faggan Singh. Aditi Nagar Jaipur: This political gossip comes in the wake of a growing divide between two senior Congress leaders of Jaipur following the Jaipur Heritage Mayor episode. The strained relations between two seasoned Congress leaders are palpable. The bitterness has escalated to the point where communication between them has ceased in recent days. Consequently, the troubles of DCC President RR Tiwari have increased, as he finds himself caught between two warring factions. Local Congress members are anxious that this feud might lead to electoral setbacks for the party. No one could beat Modi ji in the ability to make the best use of time and realise the value of every minute. I received him from Kalka station and took him to Parwanoo guest house. He said, “I have done it now, but you should have done it earlier.” Isaidnevermind, hotwater willbereadyin15-20minutes. To this he said, “What will I do for 15-20 minutes? You should have switched it on while leaving for the sta- tion. So by this time I would have taken my bath and started my work!” Such is the value of time for him. He sported a beard at that time. So I asked, “Can I ask you one thing?” He said, “Yes sure, ask.” “Why do you keep a beard,” I asked? He said, “It takes 10-15 minutes to shave every day. If I keep my beard this way, I trim it once a month and it hardly takes 5 minutes. It saves so much time.” He has always been so particular about time man- agement. He asked to take down his name and address in the office. Surprisingly, when Modi ji came again after two months, he remembered the incident and asked me if the cycle had been arranged for that man. I had in fact for- gotten about it and hadn’t enquired of him. The next day I brought him and told Modi ji see sir, he is riding his tricycle.
