Barmer: The incident

GOVT, SAYS MP RAJYAVARDHAN RATHORE
Sikar: The BJP leader and
LoP Rajendra Rathore on
Sunday said that as the
tenure of the Cong govt is
coming to an end, its control
over the police is decreasing.
He said that before Barmer, a
similar incident happened in
Dausa 2 months back when
a woman was abducted and
burnt. “In that case too, the
govt woke up after 7 days,”
he said. He also targeted the
state govt over the acquittal
of Jaipur bomb blast accused
saying the govt failed in pre-
senting a strong prosecution.
Jaipur: BJP national spokesperson and MP Rajyavardhan
Rathore during a press conference here attacked the Con-
gress government over the issue of safety of women. Former

MLA Anita Bhadel
was also present.
Rathore said, “If
you are a woman
and alone at home,
don't expect pro-
tection from the

there to serve only one family. Rathore blamed the government
for being busy in putting up posters to please their bosses and
doing enough for its people. He said that the rape of a Dalit
woman in Balotra was suppressed. “Police does not need to
work here as CM Gehlot believes that more than half of the
rape cases reported are false,” he said. —Aishwary Pradhan

Moreover, the Commis-

that if the report is not

in furniture purchase
and some other corrup-
tion related complaints
were made. Considering
these to be a serious is-
sue, the Commission ini-
tiated an investigation.
Sources reveal that
thisisperhapsfirstof its
kind of case, where the
investigation of corrup-
tion in a department has
been taken over by a
Commission. Generally
,
the Human Rights Com-

According to the com-
plaint, furniture was to
be purchased for 600 hos-

ableinTADAandMADA.
However, a supply order
was given on a rate sixty
nine percent more, to a
firm that was not even
eligible.Theproductthat
was finally given was of
a bad quality
. Apart from
this, there is a complaint
of corruption in pay-
ment of worth Rs 200
crore in the Swachcha
Scheme. According to
the complainant, no ac-
tion was taken against
those involved and the
officials have had a ‘field
day’ with the money
made from corruption.
In the current govern-
ment, five Commission-
ers and five Secretaries
have been changed. Ei-
ther there have been full

Principal Secretary Ad-

been handed the reins of

departments have no
connection anywhere.
It is also being said
that the TAD Headquar-
ters will be shifted from
Udaipur to the newly
formed Banswara divi-

So, the bureaucracy
and the administrative
experts are eager to find

A BETTER EXPERIENCE THAN VENICE IN KASHMIR
have traveled to
Venice several
times and gone for
gondola rides on
the Grand Canal.
During my trips, I always won-
dered how close the water was
to the centuries-old mansions
and how beautiful they looked
with the soft waves of water
splashing against them.
Little did I know that we
have something more alluring
in our own homeland. Last
month, I visited Srinagar and
stayed in a hotel on the banks
of Nigeen Lake. This neighbor-
hood is known as Rainawari.
Even though I grew up in Sri-
nagar, I had never been to this
part of town. Of course, I had
often heard from my parents
aboutthebackwatersof Raina-
wari, and how people in the
olden days would use these ca-
nals to commute.
In those days, water trans-
port was one of the most con-
venient modes of transport in
the old city
. This was thanks to
Kashmir’s 15th-century ruler
Sultan Zain-ul-Abidin Bad-
shah who built a network of
canals in the Kashmir Valley
.
Over the last century, roads
have replaced the waterways.
Yet canals remain a key part of
Srinagar and Kashmir.
A MEMORABLE BOAT RIDE
During my trip, a boatman was
available at the hotel. One
evening, he took me on a ride
in Nigeen. “Do you think we
can go to the Rainawari back-
waters from here?”Iaskedhim
during my ride. “Certainly
,” he
said with a smile, and so we
agreedtostartatdawnthenext
morning. We visited the float-
ing vegetable market first and
then we saw life in Rainawari
along its main canal.
Naidyar is the canal that
connects Dal Lake to Nigeen.
As we moved silently through
the water, the sun was rising
behind the peaks of the Zabar-
wan Range. The vegetable sell-
ers had wrapped up their
morning deals and had congre-
gated together. I settled with
them and had a hot cup of
kahwa—traditional Kashmiri
tea—that I have grown up
drinking. This kahwa was dif-
ferent.
THINGS ARE CHANGING
During my boat ride, I ob-
served that the beautiful tradi-
tional houses were being re-
placed by ugly concrete mon-
strosities. Some houses were
just houses, not homes. Their
owners have probably fled
Kashmir for good. As is well
known, Hindu Kashmiri Pan-
dits left the valley in early 1990
tosavetheirlivesfromIslamist
militants. Many Pandit houses
still remain empty
.
I thought of the large and
jovial families that were once
the life of these now empty
homes. The men and children
wouldhavetakenboatstowork
or to school, mothers would
havefinishedcookingandthen
probably sat on their balconies
or on windowsills for a round
of gossip with the neighbors.
LOCAL DELICACIES AND
PARTING THOUGHTS
The Dal and Nigeen lakes are
very popular for nadur—the
lotus stem that is harvested
from them. Nadur is part of
the staple diet of Kashmiris. It
is usually cooked along with
meat,fish,orvegetables.Often,
nadur is a standalone dish too.
As the boat ride was ending,
itwastimetoheadbacktohotel
for a nice breakfast. The boat-
man,askedmeif Iwouldliketo

back in no time, with a bag full
of girda—a sort of flat round
bread—baked in a tandoor, a
traditional clay oven. Unfortu-
nately
,lakewaterinKashmiris
getting heavily polluted with
sewage and domestic waste
from houses and houseboats.
Kashmir needs an intensive
and effective mechanism to
handle waste from these neigh-
borhoods. Otherwise, we risk
losing these water bodies that
form the soul of Srinagar.

ith shrinking social relations
and circumscribed free time in a
world where we forget to click
mindfully, we end up having
more screen time than recom-
mended by mental and physical
health experts around the globe.
As the health advisory eulogizes
the healthy intake of calories,
the mental health advisory ap-
plauds a chipper number of
screen hours which unfortu-
nately we are finding ourselves
incapable to follow.
For many people, being con-
nected and immersed in the
digital world is just a part of eve-
rydaylife.Apotentialnumberof
our peers are spending an aver-
age of 10 hours on a device con-
nected to the internet. In some
situations, you might even feel
like you are addicted to your de-
vices. While technology addic-
tion is not formally recognized
as a disorder, many experts be-
lieve that tech and device over-
userepresentsaveryrealbehav-
ioural addiction that can lead to
a physical, psychological, and
social problems.
This is a similar scenario of
someone in taking an unhealthy
number of calories and ending
up with obese weight gain. We
are consuming more digital
content than we should. So are
we a transient generation of
digitally obese people? Finding
this answer is not a massive
challenge. We observe that the
global dialogue is engrossed in
discussing the environmental
problems that can endanger our
resources for future generation
and see it as an immediate
threat on the other hand many
of the future generation kids
have an electronic baby-sitter
from birth onward. This means
that on average a child has very
less time outdoors. Leaving him
very little choice in hand to no-
tice and understand the natural
surroundings. Are not these
children growing up in an envi-
ronment of unconscious living?
That child will develop no toler-
ance towards frustration and
would not know how to handle
the real issues of life. For him,
the second life is already creat-
ed virtually where the wishful
world exists. This child is con-
suming more screen time than
he/she should be. As a parent
and guardians, we find our-
selves powerless to control the
latitude. Avoiding technological
devices comprehensively might
not be a practical take as our
dependency on the devices has
increased in the last years from
doing reservations to doing sim-
ple payments. It has also created
a market where easy money
goes in hand with easy content
which is very impressive for the
generation that hardly knows
the real social setup. Web surf-
ing is controlling and can be
compulsive. The Elderly genera-
tion is an example while they
use internet surfing as a utility
not as an addiction. The current
generation finds a home in the
virtual world, calling it “my
space. „They have no idea what
the offline life of their friends
looks like. It is high time that we
prioritize our mental health as
well. A conscious mind is a
mind that does not dwell on
comparisons but rather focuses
on one’s self. Indulging in a vir-
tual world leads us to a constant
comparison with the world
around us that minimizes our
strengths. Digital media is de-
signed to get us hooked up with
it and craft an image of our-
selves. We are more comfortable
with the screen than the real
person in front of us. This is a
dangerous situation, especially
for the youth. Focusing on the
real side we can begin with a
mini detoxifying from these de-
vices, maybe a day a week!
From that daily resolution of
doing it from today to procras-
tinating it to tomorrow our
digital fasting is becoming our
deadpan new era challenge. A
digital detox refers to a period
of time when a person refrains
from using tech devices such as
smartphones, televisions, com-
puters, tablets, and social me-
dia sites. “Detoxing” from digi-
tal devices is often seen as a
way to focus on real-life social
interactions without distrac-
tions. Or getting back to your-
self and seeking that inner con-
nection that went missing in
the last decade. By evading
digital devices, at least tempo-
rarily, people can let go of the
stress that stems from constant
connectivity
.

that amazing sense of freedom.

CRUCIAL READ
Sibal: Cong must be centre of
coalition against BJP in 2024
New Delhi (PTI): The
Congress has to be at
the centre of any coali-
tion that would take on
the BJP in the 2024 gen-
eral elections and all
Opposition parties
should be more mindful
of sensitivities as well
as be circumspect in
criticising each other’s
ideologies in order to
build a strong alliance,
Rajya Sabha MP Kapil
Sibal said on Sunday
.
Sibal, a prominent
voice in the Opposition
ranks, gave a clarion
call to all political par-
ties opposed to the BJP-
led government to first
find a common platform
which, he said, could
also be his newly-
launched ‘Insaaf’ plat-
form for fighting injus-
tice. The former Union
minister said the lead-
ership question of an
Opposition coalition for
2024 need not be an-
swered at this stage and
also cited the example
of 2004 when the incum-
bent Atal Bihari Vaj-
payee government was
voted out of power de-
spite the Opposition not
having a declared face.
He asserted that the
Congress certainly has
to be the fulcrum and at
the centre of any coali-
tion of Opposition par-
ties that will take on the
BJP in 2024.

CONGRESS POINTS TO ADANI
GROUP'S ALLEGED 'CHINA LINKS',
New Delhi: Firing a fresh salvo at the government, the
Congress on Sunday pointed to Adani Group’s alleged
China links and asked why the conglomerate is still being
permitted to operate ports in India. Attacking the Centre,
Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh claimed that
the government denied security clearance in 2022 to a
consortium of APM Terminals Management and Taiwan’s
Wan Hai Lines after agencies discovered a connection
between a Wan Hai director and a Chinese firm. This
blocked the consortium’s bid to operate a container
handling terminal at the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority,
Ramesh said, pointing out that it is a government policy
to prevent Chinese firms and entities with Chinese con-
nections from operating ports and terminals in India.
CONGRESS IS A
RESPECTABLE
ALTERNATIVE,
SAYS THAROOR
Bengaluru (ANI):
Hitting out at Chief
Minister Basavaraj
Bommai-led BJP gov-
ernment in Karnataka,
senior Congress leader
Shashi Tharoor on
Sunday said people of
the poll-bound southern
state have endured mis-
governance in the last
four years. Addressing
a press conference in
Bengaluru, Tharoor said
when there is misgov-
ernance and “there is
nothing to see”, people
inevitably wonder what
they need the govern-
ment for. “When there
is misgovernance and
there is nothing to
see, people inevitably
wonder what they need
the government for.
People are interested
very much in seeing the
Congress as a respect-
able alternative to the
misgovernance they’ve
endured in the last 4
years,” said Tharoor.

From Sisodia to Chanda Kochhar, CBI
under fire for delayed investigations
New Delhi (Agencies):
The Central Bureau of
Investigation (CBI), In-
dia’s premier anti-cor-
ruption agency, is fac-
ing criticism for its in-
ability to bring cases
related to high-profile
scams to their logical
end because of delayed
investigations.
Take for instance the
two cases that the CBI
has filed against for-
mer Delhi Deputy CM
Manish Sisodia in the
Delhi excise policy
scam and snooping
case. The agency has
made Sisodia the ac-
cused number one in
both the cases, but it is
yet to file a chargesheet
in either.
The ICICI-Chanda
Kochhar matter has
also raised eyebrows,
as the CBI filed the FIR
in January 2019, two
years after the prelimi-
nary inquiry into the
case was initiated.
The CBI has also
failed to complete its in-
vestigation into the
death of actor Sushant
Singh Rajput, who
passed away in June
2020 under mysterious
circumstances.

Modi govt scrapped
2000 obsolete rules,

New Delhi (ANI): Over
2,000 rules and laws
were scrapped by the
Prime Minister Naren-

Speaking at an event
organised by the
Yashraj Research Foun-
dation (YRF), Jitendra
Singh said that, unlike
the earlier govern-

comfort in the status
quoist approach, PM
Modi had demonstrated
the courage to do away
with such rules which
were causing inconven-
ience for the citizens
and many of which he
said had persisted since
the time of British Raj.
The ultimate aim of
good governance is to
bring ease of living to
the citizens, he added at
the event. The Minister
recalled that soon after
the Government came
to power in May 2014,
the practice of getting
certificates attested by
gazetted officers was
done away with within
two to three months.
Singh said Prime
Minister spoke from

POSTAL REG NO. JPC/004/2022-24
Aditi Nagar
Jaipur: After Sachin
Pilot fired a fresh salvo
at the Ashok Gehlot
government, the Con-
gressonSundaysaidits
government has given
the state a leadership
position in governance
in the country and it
will seek a renewed
mandate on the
strength of its achieve-
ments as well as collec-
tive efforts of the or-
ganisation.
Congress General
Secretary Jairam
Ramesh said the Con-
gress government in
Rajasthan with Ashok
Gehlot as CM, has im-
plemented a large num-
ber of schemes and
taken many new initia-
tives that have impact-
ed the people profound-
ly
. While the Congress
leadership praised Ge-
hlot, the party did not
clarify its stand on Pi-
lot’s role.
Questions are being
raised that just like the
BJP high command
takes a blunt stand,
why can’t the Congress
high command take de-
cisions?
Today, Gehlot is
fighting the battle of
2023 alone on his
strength. In such a situ-
ation, merely issuing a
statement will not jus-
tify the role of the high
command. The high
command should now
take a blunt stand on
the Gehlot-Pilot tussle.
Once it has been de-
cided that the 2023
elections will be
fought under the lead-
ership of Gehlot, then
what is this confu-
sion? Will Rahul Gan-
dhi be able to muster
up the courage to
speak bluntly to Pilot?
On one hand, there
are praises for Gehlot
and on the other hand,
there is silence on the
statements of Pilot and
others. The party
should gather courage
andgiveafinalandcon-
clusive statement.
Pilot’s next role
should also be clarified
so that the Pilot camp
can also take a final de-
cision regarding fu-
ture course of action,
otherwise, voters will
also get confused and
half- hearted for the
party
.
If the situation of
infighting in the party
continues like this,
then the dream of re-
peating the Congress
government in Ra-
jasthan is not going to
be fulfilled.
Time to take blunt stand on Gehlot-Pilot issue!

day-long fast to seek
action from his gov-

corruption during the
BJP rule in the state.

must have met Pilot 10-15 times
since I became AICC in-charge
of Raj but he has not even once
mentioned this issue to me,”
said Randhawa. He said in the
press conference that he had
told the in-charge too but I can
tell you nothing was discussed
with me.” The AICC leader went on to say, Pilot has said
he has written two letters. Wo letter bhi mangvayenge,
CM se baat karenge”. In my view, it was not the right
time … Firstly, he has not spoken to me about this issue.
But there are big leaders. He could have spoken to them.
Nevertheless, I will go and speak to both of them.”
Kota: Lok Sabha Speaker

orld Homeopathy Day is
being celebrated today,
April 10. Today is the
birthday of such a great
person who gave a won-
derful gift to medical
science and mankind by
discovering a new medical meth-
od, Homeopathy
, whose birthday
is celebrated as Homeopathy
Day. Dr C S F Hahnemann, the
father of homeopathy, was born
on 10 April 1755 in Germany.
This is the second largest medi-
cal system used for disease treat-
ment in the world. Homeopathy
is an ideal system based on sci-
entific and natural laws based on
certain principles, which works
on universal laws of healing the
whole body instead of merely
treating the symptoms of the
disease. This method came to In-
dia in the 19th century and be-
came popular. The simple trans-
lation of the word homeopathy
means treating like with like,
that is, whatever causes a dis-
ease can be cured by the same.
Dr Hahnemann, the father of
homeopathy, was himself an al-
lopathic physician, later his
keen interest in chemistry and
medicine provided the world
with a simple, safe and harmless
system. He was a successful
writer, doctor and explorer.
HOMEOPATHY
A Safe and Effective Way to
Promote Family Health on
Homeopathic Day
As the world celebrates Ho-
meopathic Day families are en-
couraged to explore the benefits
of this natural and safe healing
method for their overall health
and well-being.
A homeopathy is a holistic ap-
proach to medicine that treats
the whole person, not just the
symptoms of a particular ill-
ness. It has been used for over
200 years and has been shown to
be effective in treating a wide
range of conditions, from aller-
gies and digestive issues to anxi-
ety and depression.
One of the key principles of
homeopathy is like cures,
which means that a substance
that can cause symptoms in a
healthy person can be used in
small doses to treat those same
symptoms in a sick person. This
approach is gentle and non-inva-
sive, making it particularly well-
suited for use in children and
other vulnerable populations.
ONE FAMILY ONE HEALTH
On this year's Homeopathic Day
,
the theme is One Family, One
Health, highlighting the impor-
tance of taking a holistic ap-
proach to family health. By using
homeopathy to address not just
individual symptoms, but the un-
derlying imbalances that can
contribute to those symptoms,
families can support the health
and well-being of each member.
One of the key benefits of ho-
meopathy is its ability to treat
the root cause of an illness, rath-
er than just the symptoms. This
can lead to long-lasting and sus-
tainable health benefits, as well
as a reduction in the use of pre-
scription drugs and their associ-
ated side effects.
Homeopathy can be used to
treat a wide range of conditions,
including allergies, asthma, anx-
iety
, depression, digestive issues,
and skin conditions. It is also ef-
fective in treating chronic condi-
tions that have not responded to
conventional medicine.
The use of homeopathy has
been supported by many scien-
tific studies and has been found
to be effective in treating a wide
range of conditions. Homeopa-
thy is a safe and natural form of
healthcare that can be used by
people of all ages, from infants
to the elderly
.
If you are looking for a safe
and effective way to promote the
health and wellness of your fam-
ily, here are some reasons why
homeopathy is the best choice.
GENTLE AND NON-INVASIVE
Homeopathy is a gentle and non-
invasive form of healthcare that
can be used by people of all ages,
from infants to the elderly. It is
particularly well-suited for use
in children and other vulnerable
populations, as it is gentle and
non-invasive.
TREATS THE ROOT
CAUSE OF ILLNESS
One of the key benefits of home-
opathy is its ability to treat the
root cause of an illness, rather
than just the symptoms. This
can lead to long-lasting and sus-
tainable health benefits, as well
as a reduction in the use of pre-
scription drugs and their associ-
ated side effects.
PERSONALIZED TREATMENT
Homeopathy involves a person-
alized approach to healthcare,
where the homeopath takes
into account the individual's
unique symptoms, medical his-
tory, and overall health. This
personalized approach ensures
that each person receives the
best possible treatment for
their individual needs.
SAFE AND NATURAL
Homeopathy is a safe and natu-
ral form of healthcare that does
not have any side effects. It can
be used alongside conventional
medicine and is a great option
for families looking for a natural
and safe approach to healthcare.
COST-EFFECTIVE
Homeopathy is also a cost-effec-
tive form of healthcare, as it can
help families save money on ex-
pensive prescription drugs and
medical treatments. It is a great
option for families looking for an
affordable way to promote their
overall health and wellness
HOW IT PLAYS A HIGH
ROLE IN FAMILY HEALTH
A family is a basic unit of a na-
tion which is defined as a group
of biologically related persons
living together and sharing a
common kitchen and purse.
That's why for a healthy nation
every family should be a healthy
family ideally
, and which princi-
ple of homeopathy approaches a
holistic way to individualize eve-
ry member of a family in terms
of root nature, behaviour, emo-
tions, spirituality, psychological
even financial and cultural as-
pects and interest of a family
member to rule out correct heal-
ing medicine and method.
In conclusion, homeopathy is
the best choice for family health
due to its gentle and non-inva-
sive approach, ability to treat the
root cause of illness, personal-
ized treatment, safety, and natu-
ral approach, and cost-effective-
ness. If you are interested in
exploring homeopathy for your
family's healthcare needs, speak
to a qualified homeopath to de-
velop a personalized treatment
plan. Wish you a happy home-
opathy day

During my trips, I always won- dered how close the water was to the centuries-old mansions and how beautiful they looked with the soft waves of water splashing against them. Little did I know that we have something more alluring in our own homeland. Last month, I visited Srinagar and stayed in a hotel on the banks of Nigeen Lake. This neighbor- hood is known as Rainawari. Even though I grew up in Sri- nagar, I had never been to this part of town. Of course, I had often heard from my parents aboutthebackwatersof Raina- wari, and how people in the olden days would use these ca- nals to commute. In those days, water trans- port was one of the most con- venient modes of transport in the old city . This was thanks to Kashmir’s 15th-century ruler Sultan Zain-ul-Abidin Bad- shah who built a network of canals in the Kashmir Valley . Over the last century, roads have replaced the waterways. Yet canals remain a key part of Srinagar and Kashmir. A MEMORABLE BOAT RIDE During my trip, a boatman was available at the hotel. One evening, he took me on a ride in Nigeen. “Do you think we can go to the Rainawari back- waters from here?”Iaskedhim during my ride. “Certainly ,” he said with a smile, and so we agreedtostartatdawnthenext morning. We visited the float- ing vegetable market first and then we saw life in Rainawari along its main canal. Naidyar is the canal that connects Dal Lake to Nigeen. As we moved silently through the water, the sun was rising behind the peaks of the Zabar- wan Range. The vegetable sell- ers had wrapped up their morning deals and had congre- gated together. I settled with them and had a hot cup of kahwa—traditional Kashmiri tea—that I have grown up drinking. This kahwa was dif- ferent. THINGS ARE CHANGING During my boat ride, I ob- served that the beautiful tradi- tional houses were being re- placed by ugly concrete mon- strosities. Some houses were just houses, not homes. Their owners have probably fled Kashmir for good. As is well known, Hindu Kashmiri Pan- dits left the valley in early 1990 tosavetheirlivesfromIslamist militants. Many Pandit houses still remain empty . I thought of the large and jovial families that were once the life of these now empty homes. The men and children wouldhavetakenboatstowork or to school, mothers would havefinishedcookingandthen probably sat on their balconies or on windowsills for a round of gossip with the neighbors. LOCAL DELICACIES AND PARTING THOUGHTS The Dal and Nigeen lakes are very popular for nadur—the lotus stem that is harvested from them. Nadur is part of the staple diet of Kashmiris. It is usually cooked along with meat, fish, orvegetables.Often, nadur is a standalone dish too. As the boat ride was ending, itwastimetoheadbacktohotel for a nice breakfast. The boat- man, askedmeif Iwouldliketo get some. The boatman was back in no time, with a bag full of girda—a sort of flat round bread—baked in a tandoor, a traditional clay oven. Unfortu- nately ,lakewaterinKashmiris getting heavily polluted with sewage and domestic waste from houses and houseboats. Kashmir needs an intensive and effective mechanism to handle waste from these neigh- borhoods. Otherwise, we risk losing these water bodies that form the soul of Srinagar. Editor-In-Chief: Dr Jagdeesh Chandra Editor: Anita Hada Sangwan responsible for selection of news under the PRB Act ith shrinking social relations and circumscribed free time in a world where we forget to click mindfully, we end up having more screen time than recom- mended by mental and physical health experts around the globe. As the health advisory eulogizes the healthy intake of calories, the mental health advisory ap- plauds a chipper number of screen hours which unfortu- nately we are finding ourselves incapable to follow. For many people, being con- nected and immersed in the digital world is just a part of eve- rydaylife.Apotentialnumberof our peers are spending an aver- age of 10 hours on a device con- nected to the internet. In some situations, you might even feel like you are addicted to your de- vices. While technology addic- tion is not formally recognized as a disorder, many experts be- lieve that tech and device over- userepresentsaveryrealbehav- ioural addiction that can lead to a physical, psychological, and social problems. This is a similar scenario of someone in taking an unhealthy number of calories and ending up with obese weight gain. We are consuming more digital content than we should. So are we a transient generation of digitally obese people? Finding this answer is not a massive challenge. We observe that the global dialogue is engrossed in discussing the environmental problems that can endanger our resources for future generation and see it as an immediate threat on the other hand many of the future generation kids have an electronic baby-sitter from birth onward. This means that on average a child has very less time outdoors. Leaving him very little choice in hand to no- tice and understand the natural surroundings. Are not these children growing up in an envi- ronment of unconscious living? That child will develop no toler- ance towards frustration and would not know how to handle the real issues of life. For him, the second life is already creat- ed virtually where the wishful world exists. This child is con- suming more screen time than he/she should be. As a parent and guardians, we find our- selves powerless to control the latitude. Avoiding technological devices comprehensively might not be a practical take as our dependency on the devices has increased in the last years from doing reservations to doing sim- ple payments. It has also created a market where easy money goes in hand with easy content which is very impressive for the generation that hardly knows the real social setup. Web surf- ing is controlling and can be compulsive. The Elderly genera- tion is an example while they use internet surfing as a utility not as an addiction. The current generation finds a home in the virtual world, calling it “my space. „They have no idea what the offline life of their friends looks like. It is high time that we prioritize our mental health as well. A conscious mind is a mind that does not dwell on comparisons but rather focuses on one’s self. Indulging in a vir- tual world leads us to a constant comparison with the world around us that minimizes our strengths. Digital media is de- signed to get us hooked up with it and craft an image of our- selves. We are more comfortable with the screen than the real person in front of us. This is a dangerous situation, especially for the youth. Focusing on the real side we can begin with a mini detoxifying from these de- vices, maybe a day a week! From that daily resolution of doing it from today to procras- tinating it to tomorrow our digital fasting is becoming our deadpan new era challenge. A digital detox refers to a period of time when a person refrains from using tech devices such as smartphones, televisions, com- puters, tablets, and social me- dia sites. “Detoxing” from digi- tal devices is often seen as a way to focus on real-life social interactions without distrac- tions. Or getting back to your- self and seeking that inner con- nection that went missing in the last decade. By evading digital devices, at least tempo- rarily, people can let go of the stress that stems from constant connectivity . We all need that day offline andletthatfeargothatwewould miss the update from the ac- quaintance. We need to read a book, pick that lost hobby, and breath in real air. We need to feel that amazing sense of freedom. Boredom is awesome when we do something creative with it. It is intense to be connected with people in your real life not in your virtual world. We can at- tempt to change our circum- stances and dictate internet what we want from it, taking charge of our lives. Offline expe- riences can be as beautiful and fulfilling.Collaborationandcon- nections are enriching if made in real life and could be more lasting too. Sibal, a prominent voice in the Opposition ranks, gave a clarion call to all political par- ties opposed to the BJP- led government to first find a common platform which, he said, could also be his newly- launched ‘Insaaf’ plat- form for fighting injus- tice. The former Union minister said the lead- ership question of an Opposition coalition for 2024 need not be an- swered at this stage and also cited the example of 2004 when the incum- bent Atal Bihari Vaj- payee government was voted out of power de- spite the Opposition not having a declared face. Attacking the Centre, Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh claimed that the government denied security clearance in 2022 to a consortium of APM Terminals Management and Taiwan’s Wan Hai Lines after agencies discovered a connection between a Wan Hai director and a Chinese firm. This blocked the consortium’s bid to operate a container handling terminal at the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority, Ramesh said, pointing out that it is a government policy to prevent Chinese firms and entities with Chinese con- nections from operating ports and terminals in India. Take for instance the two cases that the CBI has filed against for- mer Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia in the Delhi excise policy scam and snooping case. The agency has made Sisodia the ac- cused number one in both the cases, but it is yet to file a chargesheet in either. The ICICI-Chanda Kochhar matter has also raised eyebrows, as the CBI filed the FIR in January 2019, two years after the prelimi- nary inquiry into the case was initiated. The CBI has also failed to complete its in- vestigation into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who passed away in June 2020 under mysterious circumstances. Saurabh Bhardwaj said, “The LG has been conducting the inspec- tion of drains in Delhi and issuing lengthy press releases to make it look like the work was being conducted under his supervision. It was because of the magnanimity of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal that the Delhi Govern- ment until now allowed the LG to visit these drains like a tourist.” Kiren Rijiju Modi govt scrapped 2000 obsolete rules, laws in 9 years: Singh New Delhi (ANI): Over 2,000 rules and laws were scrapped by the Prime Minister Naren- dra Modi-led govern- ment in the last nine years for ease of govern- ance and ease of busi- ness, said Union Minis- ter Jitendra Singh. Speaking at an event organised by the Yashraj Research Foun- dation (YRF), Jitendra Singh said that, unlike the earlier govern- ments which found comfort in the status quoist approach, PM Modi had demonstrated the courage to do away with such rules which were causing inconven- ience for the citizens and many of which he said had persisted since the time of British Raj. The ultimate aim of good governance is to bring ease of living to the citizens, he added at the event. The Minister recalled that soon after the Government came to power in May 2014, the practice of getting certificates attested by gazetted officers was done away with within two to three months. Singh said Prime Minister spoke from the ramparts of Red Fort about the aboli- tion of interviews in job recruitment so that a level playing field could be provided. “20 LAKH GRIEVANCES EVERY YEAR” DELHI RECORDS 699 COVID CASES New Delhi (ANI): Further, talking about grievance redressal, Jitendra Singh said that the grievance redressal mechanism was shifted to Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System as a result of which about 20 lakh grievances are received every year in comparison to just 2 lakhs before this gov- ernment came in. JPC/004/2022-24 Aditi Nagar Jaipur: After Sachin Pilot fired a fresh salvo at the Ashok Gehlot government, the Con- gressonSundaysaidits government has given the state a leadership position in governance in the country and it will seek a renewed mandate on the strength of its achieve- ments as well as collec- tive efforts of the or- ganisation. Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said the Con- gress government in Rajasthan with Ashok Gehlot as CM, has im- plemented a large num- ber of schemes and taken many new initia- tives that have impact- ed the people profound- ly . While the Congress leadership praised Ge- hlot, the party did not clarify its stand on Pi- lot’s role. Questions are being raised that just like the BJP high command takes a blunt stand, why can’t the Congress high command take de- cisions? Today, Gehlot is fighting the battle of 2023 alone on his strength. In such a situ- ation, merely issuing a statement will not jus- tify the role of the high command. The high command should now take a blunt stand on the Gehlot-Pilot tussle. Once it has been de- cided that the 2023 elections will be fought under the lead- ership of Gehlot, then what is this confu- sion? Will Rahul Gan- dhi be able to muster up the courage to speak bluntly to Pilot? On one hand, there are praises for Gehlot and on the other hand, there is silence on the statements of Pilot and others. The party should gather courage andgiveafinalandcon- clusive statement. Pilot’s next role should also be clarified so that the Pilot camp can also take a final de- cision regarding fu- ture course of action, otherwise, voters will also get confused and half- hearted for the party . If the situation of infighting in the party continues like this, then the dream of re- peating the Congress government in Ra- jasthan is not going to be fulfilled. Today is the birthday of such a great person who gave a won- derful gift to medical science and mankind by discovering a new medical meth- od, Homeopathy , whose birthday is celebrated as Homeopathy Day. Dr C S F Hahnemann, the father of homeopathy, was born on 10 April 1755 in Germany. This is the second largest medi- cal system used for disease treat- ment in the world. Homeopathy is an ideal system based on sci- entific and natural laws based on certain principles, which works on universal laws of healing the whole body instead of merely treating the symptoms of the disease. This method came to In- dia in the 19th century and be- came popular. The simple trans- lation of the word homeopathy means treating like with like, that is, whatever causes a dis- ease can be cured by the same. Dr Hahnemann, the father of homeopathy, was himself an al- lopathic physician, later his keen interest in chemistry and medicine provided the world with a simple, safe and harmless system. He was a successful writer, doctor and explorer. HOMEOPATHY A Safe and Effective Way to Promote Family Health on Homeopathic Day As the world celebrates Ho- meopathic Day families are en- couraged to explore the benefits of this natural and safe healing method for their overall health and well-being. A homeopathy is a holistic ap- proach to medicine that treats the whole person, not just the symptoms of a particular ill- ness. It has been used for over 200 years and has been shown to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions, from aller- gies and digestive issues to anxi- ety and depression. One of the key principles of homeopathy is like cures, which means that a substance that can cause symptoms in a healthy person can be used in small doses to treat those same symptoms in a sick person. This approach is gentle and non-inva- sive, making it particularly well- suited for use in children and other vulnerable populations. ONE FAMILY ONE HEALTH On this year's Homeopathic Day , the theme is One Family, One Health, highlighting the impor- tance of taking a holistic ap- proach to family health. By using homeopathy to address not just individual symptoms, but the un- derlying imbalances that can contribute to those symptoms, families can support the health and well-being of each member. One of the key benefits of ho- meopathy is its ability to treat the root cause of an illness, rath- er than just the symptoms. This can lead to long-lasting and sus- tainable health benefits, as well as a reduction in the use of pre- scription drugs and their associ- ated side effects. Homeopathy can be used to treat a wide range of conditions, including allergies, asthma, anx- iety , depression, digestive issues, and skin conditions. PERSONALIZED TREATMENT Homeopathy involves a person- alized approach to healthcare, where the homeopath takes into account the individual's unique symptoms, medical his- tory, and overall health. This personalized approach ensures that each person receives the best possible treatment for their individual needs.
