s India com-
pletes its
centenary in
2047, the na-
tion finds it-
self at the crossroads of a
transforming global work-
force landscape. With aspi-
rations to lead as the largest
supplierofskilledmanpow-
er, India faces the intricate
task of aligning its work-
force with the rapidly
evolving demands of the
world job market. This
grand ambition, however,
comes with its own set of
challenges and opportuni-
ties.India’smostsignificant
asset is its burgeoning pop-
ulation. With over 1.3 bil-
lionpeople,thenationholds
the promise of a massive
anddiverseworkforce.This
demographic dividend can
beagame-changer,butonly
if harnessed strategically.
The potential of India’s
workforce is undeniable,
but the current reality ex-
poses a significant mis-
match between the skills
possessed by the workforce
and those demanded by the
evolving job market. While
technology progresses at a
breathtakingpace,skillsde-
velopment and education
systems often struggle to
keep up. Bridging this gap
is critical to ensure that In-
dia’sdemographicdividend
does not transform into a
social liability. India’s tre-
mendously young work-
force can either turn the na-
tion into the superpower
that Prime Minister Modi
envisions,orbecomeabane
depending on how much
the skills of our workforce
grow to match the fast-
growing development.
The interconnectedness
oftheglobaleconomy,driv-
en by technology, has rede-
fined the nature of work it-
self. Moreover, the rapid
progress in AI and automa-
tion has reimagined job
roles, eliminating some
while creating new ones.
Forinstance,aftertheriseof
ChatGPT and other similar
AI tools, jobs such as con-
tent writing, web designing
have become relatively yet
drastically easy thus signifi-
cantlyalteringthelandscape
of traditional jobs.
Itisimportanttonotethat
technology’simpactonjobs
is multifaceted. While cer-
tain roles are being auto-
mated, new opportunities
are simultaneously being
created. The rise of the gig
economy is a testament to
technology’s potential to
generate alternative work
arrangements. During the
global pandemic as the gig
economy rose, it attracted a
lot of technology enabled
skilled talent and at the
same time it increased de-
mandsforunskilledlaboras
well.However,it’sessential
to ensure that the rights and
welfare of gig workers are
protected through appropri-
ate policies and regulations.
This is also an example to
confirm that relevant skills
are not just important for a
beneficial future of work
but also instill the power to
negotiate better wages and
work conditions in the em-
ployees.
The Road Ahead
PolicyEvolutionforaPros-
perous Future: India’s jour-
ney to 2047 involves navi-
gating a complex web of
challenges and opportuni-
ties. Policies and regula-
tions must evolve in tan-
dem with the changing dy-
namics of the job market.A
report by the Cost Inflation
Index (CII) predicts that
India’s economy could
grow to a staggering $40
trillion by 2047 from the
current $3 tn. To achieve
this, policies around invest-
ment in human capital need
to be framed.
There are three impor-
tant fields that need to be
focused: education,
healthcare and skills.
Education is where it all
starts; it is the root of our
solution. Right from the
early age, the curriculums
need to be revised and be-
come inclusive of knowl-
edge onAI and automation.
Practical learnings must be
put into focus. Technologi-
cal advancements such as
e-learning and virtual/aug-
mented reality trainings can
be used to make this task
easier. Academia has the
potential to bridge the gap
between skillset and devel-
opment as it continues to
conduct research and ex-
ecutive growth. Policies
must encourage higher en-
rollment into education.
Currently, the gross enroll-
ment ratio is only 50%,
which highlights the fact
that only half the youth is
being skilled through for-
mal education. Improved
quality of healthcare will
result into better productive
days. Moreover, it is a field
that will always require the
human touch and not suc-
cumb to AI. The National
Skill Development Corpo-
ration is a welcome step in
this direction. There are
several other similar
schemes as well that focus
on upskilling. Though the
problem that is present is
that there are not enough
highly skilled trainers to
further train the trainers.
Moreover, the skills that are
beingprovideddonotmake
our youth future ready.
Enrollment in such
schemes is also limited to a
certain segment of people
due to a certain social stig-
ma that comes with being a
skilled labor. The country
has more electrical engi-
neers than electricians,
more mechanical engineers
than mechanics, more fash-
ion designers than tailors,
and so on. The government
should incentivize job op-
portunitiesinfieldsthatwill
beleastaffectedbyartificial
intelligence, such as tour-
ism, healthcare, arts, enter-
tainment, sports, etc.
The start-up culture has
started to bloom in India.
Govt must capitalize this as
through this system the
workforce will self-con-
sume itself. Provision of
capital,mentorship,training
and encouraging innovation
willcreateacomfortableen-
vironment for more such
businesses to grow. Invita-
tion to invest should be ex-
tended to the private sector
as well. The private sector
can invest in skill develop-
ment programs that can be
offered through corporate
trainings, partnering with
educational institutions or
by even collaborating with
NGOs. Introduction of in-
ternship and induction pro-
grams in private businesses
will also be helpful.

CONCLUSION:
A THRIVING
INDIA IN 2047
In the tapestry of the
global workforce, India’s
role in 2047 is poised to
be transformative. The
challenges are evident, but
so are the opportunities.
Navigating this landscape
requires a delicate bal-
ance of policy evolution,
technology integration,
and investment in human
capital. If India’s journey is
guided by foresight, inno-
vation, and a commitment
to inclusive growth, the na-
tion can confidently stride
into 2047 as a beacon of
progress and prosperity
on the world stage.
THEFUTUREOFWORK:
EMERGINGINDIA2047
As India completes its centenary in 2047, the
nation finds itself at the crossroads of a
transforming global workforce landscape. With
aspirations to lead as the largest supplier of
skilled manpower, India faces the intricate task of
aligning its workforce with the rapidly evolving
demands of the world job market. This grand
ambition, however, comes with its own set of
challenges and opportunities. India’s most
significant asset is its burgeoning population.

handrayaan-3’s flawless landing on the
southern polar region of the moon, the first
ever by any country, has earned praise from
all over the world, barring China. The achievement
was praised by Britain, and BBC television also de-
voted some time in its coverage of the landing and
its significance. But Patrick Christys, a little known
news presenter of a recently launched GB News got
into the Raj mode and asked India to return 2.3 billion
pounds which it received in foreign aid from the UK.
He suggested that a proposed aid of 57 million
pounds to India be withheld.
Christys went on to say, “We should not be giving
money to countries with a space programme. As a
rule, if you can afford to fire rockets to the dark side
of the moon, you shouldn’t be coming to us with your
handout”. He seems to have memory loss about Ko-
hinoor and other wealth looted by his country. May-
be, this will help GB News find an audience.
C
he standout point of the New Curriculum
Framework is the emphasis on languages
from classes 9 to 12. Mathematics and sci-
ence education have so far been strong points of
India’s education. Countries like the United King-
dom are not only importing math teachers from India
but also intend to make it a compulsory subject like
it is in the country of Aryabhata. At present, British
students are allowed to drop math at the age of 16.
While Indian students are rated highly for their
math skills, the same
cannot be said about
languages. There is
always a mental
block towards learn-
ing another language
whether it is Indian
or foreign. Learning
a language other
than one’s mother
tongue always has
its benefits and what
Charlemagne said is
so apt. The Roman
Emperor said that
“to have another lan-
guage is to possess a
second soul”. At the
level of classes 9,
10, 11 and 12 it can
expand one’s per-
spective and boost
self-confidence, be-
sides other benefits.
At early stages of
teaching more than
one language can en-
hance core cognitive
skills like reasoning, problem-solving and memory.
Yet studying a foreign or Indian language has not
been given the importance it deserves not only for
vocational reasons but also cultural.
Learning two Indian languages in classes 9 and
10 would significantly reduce the linguistic barrier
that exists in our country. The end of linguistic
chauvinism can best be countered with this method.
The move is intended to align education with In-
dia’s linguistic and cultural diversity. It is with
sound reason that the Centre has introduced this
formula.

ABHAY COMMAND AND CONTROL CENTRE
RAJASTHAN POLICE’S ‘SHIELD’TO ENSURE SAFETY
safe and fear-
free environ-
ment is the hall-
mark of good govern-
ance. Keeping the
thought of making Jaipur
a smart city and State
safe, Rajasthan Police
Department established
Abhay Command Centre
in Jaipur in collaboration
with the Department of
Information Technology
and Communication De-
partment (DoITC).
Abhay Command
Centre is always ready to
get hold of criminals and
help the public. The cen-
tre is working round the
clock to keep an eye on
every corner of the city
and prevent crimes so
that the public can feel
relieved. Employees say
that accidents keep hap-
pening on the highways,
and they inform the near-
by Chetaks for help. The
Chetak immediately
reaches the accident site.
The main objective of
this centre is to help the
public and the police.
Along with this, now
the drivers who violate
traffic rules, and drive at
high speeds will not be
spared by the police. In-
stead of issuing challans
by stopping on the way,
police will now be able to
click photos from control
room through Pan-tilt-
zoom (PTZ) cameras.
Abhay Command and
Control Centres have
been established in all
33 districts including 7
divisional headquarters
of the state for an inte-
grated solution of GPS
and CCTV camera-
based security.
VigilantAbhay Com-
mand Centre busts the
nexus between prison-
ers and jail guards in
Ajmer Central Jail:
Maybe everyone was
unaware of the conniv-
ance between the con-
victed prisoners and jail
guards in theAjmer Cen-
tral Jail. The guards were
taking facilities from the
prioners, but the city’s
Abhay Command Centre
was keeping a close eye
on their activities. The
moments of interaction
and taking bribes be-
tween prisoners released
on parole and prison
guards were captured
from the centre. The An-
ti-corruption Bureau has
now presented the CCTV
footage revealed in the
investigation as evidence
in the court.
Abhay Command
Centre alerts police
about abduction of girl:
“We are speaking from
Abhay Command Con-
trol. Ashok Nagar police
should immediately
reach the gate of Central
Park on Prithviraj Marg.
There, a girl has been
taken away in a car by
some people.” The police
immediately became ac-
tive when this informa-
tion was given by Abhay
Command Centre on
Sunday afternoon.
Ashok Nagar SHO
asked for the contact of
the informer. Then, the
control room informed
that they had seen the in-
cident in the live record-
ing of the CCTV camera.
Meanwhile, Ashok Na-
gar police reached the
spot.
Later, the SHO sent a
message on wireless that
the girl has not been ab-
ducted. Police officials
from Hathras police sta-
tion in UP had arrived in
Jaipur and caught their
wanted criminal.

THE THIRD EYE OF THE
COMMAND ON THE CRIMINALS
An unknown woman was talking to
someone on the phone while on the
road. Two bike-riding youths started
harassing her. One
of them got down
from the bike and
held the hand of the woman. Abhay
Centre informed and Chetak van
reached spot and caught them.
CASE-1
A bike rider met with an accident
on the highway and was in critical
condition. Abhay Command Centre
informed the nearby
Chetak van to help
the person. Due to
this, the police immediately reached
out to help that victim.

With aspi- rations to lead as the largest supplierofskilledmanpow- er, India faces the intricate task of aligning its work- force with the rapidly evolving demands of the world job market. This grand ambition, however, comes with its own set of challenges and opportuni- ties.India’smostsignificant asset is its burgeoning pop- ulation. With over 1.3 bil- lionpeople, thenationholds the promise of a massive anddiverseworkforce. This demographic dividend can beagame-changer,butonly if harnessed strategically. The potential of India’s workforce is undeniable, but the current reality ex- poses a significant mis- match between the skills possessed by the workforce and those demanded by the evolving job market. While technology progresses at a breathtakingpace,skillsde- velopment and education systems often struggle to keep up. Bridging this gap is critical to ensure that In- dia’sdemographicdividend does not transform into a social liability. India’s tre- mendously young work- force can either turn the na- tion into the superpower that Prime Minister Modi envisions, orbecomeabane depending on how much the skills of our workforce grow to match the fast- growing development. The interconnectedness oftheglobaleconomy,driv- en by technology, has rede- fined the nature of work it- self. Moreover, the rapid progress in AI and automa- tion has reimagined job roles, eliminating some while creating new ones. Forinstance, aftertheriseof ChatGPT and other similar AI tools, jobs such as con- tent writing, web designing have become relatively yet drastically easy thus signifi- cantlyalteringthelandscape of traditional jobs. Itisimportanttonotethat technology’simpactonjobs is multifaceted. While cer- tain roles are being auto- mated, new opportunities are simultaneously being created. The rise of the gig economy is a testament to technology’s potential to generate alternative work arrangements. During the global pandemic as the gig economy rose, it attracted a lot of technology enabled skilled talent and at the same time it increased de- mandsforunskilledlaboras well. However,it’sessential to ensure that the rights and welfare of gig workers are protected through appropri- ate policies and regulations. This is also an example to confirm that relevant skills are not just important for a beneficial future of work but also instill the power to negotiate better wages and work conditions in the em- ployees. The Road Ahead PolicyEvolutionforaPros- perous Future: India’s jour- ney to 2047 involves navi- gating a complex web of challenges and opportuni- ties. Policies and regula- tions must evolve in tan- dem with the changing dy- namics of the job market.A report by the Cost Inflation Index (CII) predicts that India’s economy could grow to a staggering $40 trillion by 2047 from the current $3 tn. To achieve this, policies around invest- ment in human capital need to be framed. There are three impor- tant fields that need to be focused: education, healthcare and skills. Education is where it all starts; it is the root of our solution. Right from the early age, the curriculums need to be revised and be- come inclusive of knowl- edge onAI and automation. Practical learnings must be put into focus. Technologi- cal advancements such as e-learning and virtual/aug- mented reality trainings can be used to make this task easier. Academia has the potential to bridge the gap between skillset and devel- opment as it continues to conduct research and ex- ecutive growth. Policies must encourage higher en- rollment into education. Currently, the gross enroll- ment ratio is only 50%, which highlights the fact that only half the youth is being skilled through for- mal education. Improved quality of healthcare will result into better productive days. Moreover, it is a field that will always require the human touch and not suc- cumb to AI. The National Skill Development Corpo- ration is a welcome step in this direction. There are several other similar schemes as well that focus on upskilling. Though the problem that is present is that there are not enough highly skilled trainers to further train the trainers. Moreover, the skills that are beingprovideddonotmake our youth future ready. Enrollment in such schemes is also limited to a certain segment of people due to a certain social stig- ma that comes with being a skilled labor. The country has more electrical engi- neers than electricians, more mechanical engineers than mechanics, more fash- ion designers than tailors, and so on. The government should incentivize job op- portunitiesinfieldsthatwill beleastaffectedbyartificial intelligence, such as tour- ism, healthcare, arts, enter- tainment, sports, etc. The start-up culture has started to bloom in India. Govt must capitalize this as through this system the workforce will self-con- sume itself. Provision of capital, mentorship, training and encouraging innovation willcreateacomfortableen- vironment for more such businesses to grow. Invita- tion to invest should be ex- tended to the private sector as well. The private sector can invest in skill develop- ment programs that can be offered through corporate trainings, partnering with educational institutions or by even collaborating with NGOs. Introduction of in- ternship and induction pro- grams in private businesses will also be helpful. THE VIEWS EXPRESSED BY THE AUTHOR ARE PERSONAL TOP TWEETS SPIRITUAL SPEAK So, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, you should do it all for God’s glory. BIBLE CONCLUSION: A THRIVING INDIA IN 2047 In the tapestry of the global workforce, India’s role in 2047 is poised to be transformative. The challenges are evident, but so are the opportunities. Navigating this landscape requires a delicate bal- ance of policy evolution, technology integration, and investment in human capital. If India’s journey is guided by foresight, inno- vation, and a commitment to inclusive growth, the na- tion can confidently stride into 2047 as a beacon of progress and prosperity on the world stage. THEFUTUREOFWORK: EMERGINGINDIA2047 As India completes its centenary in 2047, the nation finds itself at the crossroads of a transforming global workforce landscape. With aspirations to lead as the largest supplier of skilled manpower, India faces the intricate task of aligning its workforce with the rapidly evolving demands of the world job market. This grand ambition, however, comes with its own set of challenges and opportunities. India’s most significant asset is its burgeoning population. IN-DEPTH UKTVpresenter’spettiness afterlunarlanding NCF’S RIGHT MOVE ON LANGUAGES handrayaan-3’s flawless landing on the southern polar region of the moon, the first ever by any country, has earned praise from all over the world, barring China. The achievement was praised by Britain, and BBC television also de- voted some time in its coverage of the landing and its significance. But Patrick Christys, a little known news presenter of a recently launched GB News got into the Raj mode and asked India to return 2.3 billion pounds which it received in foreign aid from the UK. He suggested that a proposed aid of 57 million pounds to India be withheld. Christys went on to say, “We should not be giving money to countries with a space programme. As a rule, if you can afford to fire rockets to the dark side of the moon, you shouldn’t be coming to us with your handout”. He seems to have memory loss about Ko- hinoor and other wealth looted by his country. May- be, this will help GB News find an audience. C he standout point of the New Curriculum Framework is the emphasis on languages from classes 9 to 12. Mathematics and sci- ence education have so far been strong points of India’s education. Countries like the United King- dom are not only importing math teachers from India but also intend to make it a compulsory subject like it is in the country of Aryabhata. At present, British students are allowed to drop math at the age of 16. While Indian students are rated highly for their math skills, the same cannot be said about languages. There is always a mental block towards learn- ing another language whether it is Indian or foreign. Learning a language other than one’s mother tongue always has its benefits and what Charlemagne said is so apt. The Roman Emperor said that “to have another lan- guage is to possess a second soul”. At the level of classes 9, 10, 11 and 12 it can expand one’s per- spective and boost self-confidence, be- sides other benefits. At early stages of teaching more than one language can en- hance core cognitive skills like reasoning, problem-solving and memory. Yet studying a foreign or Indian language has not been given the importance it deserves not only for vocational reasons but also cultural. Learning two Indian languages in classes 9 and 10 would significantly reduce the linguistic barrier that exists in our country. The end of linguistic chauvinism can best be countered with this method. The move is intended to align education with In- dia’s linguistic and cultural diversity. It is with sound reason that the Centre has introduced this formula. T The standout point of the New Curriculum Framework is the emphasis on languages from classes 9 to 12.
