AMENDMENTS TO
GAMING LAWS FOR
GREATER GOOD
arliamenthasgivenitsapprovaltotheamend-
ments to the Central and Integrated GSTlaws
on e-gaming, casinos and horse-racing.There
were loud protests from the online gaming industry
when the GST council proposed 28 percent tax on
online gaming for money. Playing an online game
casually is distinct from playing an online game to
make real money through betting or wagering. Play-
ing online games like poker, which is a game of skill,
for real money had become a career option for some
youth. It is better if they earn money by using their
talent in a more productive way. Betting on the other
hand is all about luck where the probability of losing
money is always high. Finance Minister Nirmala Si-
tharaman rightly called it “nothing but gambling by
any name”. It is foreign players who make money but
don’t have to pay any tax in India will be severely
affected by the changes as their websites/platforms
can be blocked for non-compliance.
P
LONG WAIT FOR REVAMP
OF CRIMINAL LAWS ENDS
he Union Home Minister will be credited
with overhauling the criminal justice sys-
tem by doing away with the colonial-era
Indian Penal Code, Criminal Procedure Code and
the Evidence Act once the bills seeking to replace
them are passed by Parliament. All three have been
given Hindi names---Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita
(BNS), Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita and
Bharatiya Sakshya Sanhita, 2023. Significant
changes have been made in all three codes to make
them compatible with the changing nature of crimes
and evidence and for speedy justice.
The Bills rightly propose to drop references to Par-
liament of the UK, Her Majesty’s Government, Pos-
session of the British
Crown, Court of Jus-
tice in England, Her
Majesty’s Dominions
etc. These terms,
though never used,
ought to have been
expunged soon after
Independence but, for
some reason, were al-
lowed to be there.
Some key changes
which reflect in the
proposed Bharatiya
Nyay Sanhita, 2023
include lynching, an
act which has be-
come all too frequent
in recent times. It is
defined as murder by
five or more on
grounds of race,
caste and communi-
ty. Terrorism has
been added as organized crime while community
service as punishment has been prescribed for cor-
ruption. The Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita
would now allow trial in absentia and on video con-
ferencing, besides E-filing of FIRs.
The provisions in the Bills attempt to make the
laws more contemporaneous. Luring girls into inti-
mate relationships with the false promise of mar-
riage is only too common these days. It will now be
considered a crime. To check cases of rape, the BNS
proposes 20 years’ rigorous imprisonment.

Jaipur, Sunday | August 13, 2023 www.firstindia.co.in firstindia.co.in/epapers/jaipur thefirstindia thefirstindia thefirstindia
A holistic skill development at
an early age in school educa-
tion is the need of the hour and
it encompasses the following:
ENHANCES CREATIVITY
A school curriculum with skill-
based learning enhances creativ-
ity and makes the children more
imaginative. The learning of skills
at an early is much easier and
apart from learning basic skills
for better career the students
must engage in dancing, singing,
and drawing activities as the
advantages of indulging in such
activities extend far beyond
acquiring those specific skills.
PURPOSE ORIENTED
EDUCATION
It is time to modify the traditional
education system focused on
marks and grades to include
skill-based learning to prepare
the children to face today’s real
world. Most students, even after
completing their education, re-
main clueless about what career
path to choose. Skill develop-
ment during school education will
help kids figure out their strengths
and weaknesses quite early on in
their lives. They will learn with a
clear long-term objective instead
of focusing solely on passing
exams with high marks.
ENCOURAGES
INDEPENDENT AND
OUT OF BOX THINKING
The skill development opens
multiple avenues to learn from,
and makes more confident and
independent individuals. Inde-
pendence of thoughts and out
of box thinking comes by apply-
ing concepts in the real world.
A curriculum cantered on skill
development encourages kids
to think deeper and solve prob-
lems independently. They build
high self-esteem and emerge
as leaders as they are trained
to think critically and analytically
right from an early age.
ACCEPTING FAILURES
POSITIVELY
Skill development and training
helps instil emotional maturity
in students. Learning new skills
requires students to be willing
to experiment. While doing so,
they might face failures and dis-
appointments but that will even-
tually prepare them to accept
failures gracefully and develop
a ‘never give up’ attitude.
AVAILABILITY OF
BETTER WORKFORCE
FOR FUTURE
Starting skill development in
schools at an early age can
have a positive impact on the
general fabric of the country’s
workforce in the long run. The
latest technology that enables
audio-visual learning, interactive
and smart classrooms, makes
our students more compe-
tent. Early introduction of skill
development in the curriculum
simplifies the transition from
student to a working profes-
sional; and the country will have
a more superior workforce in the
making. The skill development
is crucial for future generations
youth and it holds the key to in-
creased entrepreneurship, great-
er employment prospects, and
economic progress. To ensure
that youth have the abilities and
information needed to succeed
in the dynamic job market, gov-
ernments, private businesses,
and educational institutions must
work coherently. There is a need
to focus on the initiating skill
development and further horn on
these skills for brighter future of
the youth and development and
progress of our nation. Creating
an army of employable, skilled,
self-esteemed youth will be key
to India’s aspirations of a $5
trillion economy.
he formative
years of a
child are cru-
cial in shap-
ing their fu-
ture. It is during these years
that a strong foundation
needs to be established for
childrentodevelopintobet-
ter, stronger all-round indi-
viduals. School education
undoubtedly plays an im-
portant role in moulding a
child’s personality. The
word education has been
branded akin to academic
excellence but its gambit
includes acquiring valuable
life skills and a personality
development. School edu-
cation devoid of any oppor-
tunities to nurture and en-
hance skills does not give
room for children to grow
into all -round individuals.
In addition to excelling in
academics, children need to
acquire skills that will help
them enhance their physi-
cal, artistic, and emotional
aspects in their life and sur-
vive in today’s competitive
world. Self-awareness, ex-
cellent communication
skills, problem solving and
criticalthinkingcapabilities
are some of the important
benefits of learning through
an all-rounded curriculum.
In today’s environment
of rapid changes, the gov-
ernment jobs are shrinking
and the only way for youth
seeking a promising future
is to horn their skills.Young
people face many challeng-
es, including underemploy-
ment, unemployment, and
lack of opportunities and
the only way to get past all
these is skill development
which is a process of ac-
quiring new talents or en-
hancing existing ones. On-
the-job training, appren-
ticeships, formal schooling,
and vocational training are
all included in scope of skill
development. The skill de-
velopment is going to be a
top government priority as
it not only helps people find
better career prospects but
also advances the nation’s
economy. In 2015, the Govt

an accelerating impact is

will require synergised ef-

from educational institu-

finance training initiatives
and offer rewards to busi-
nesses that make skill-de-

the companies in the pri-
vate sector can design ap-

learning new skills and the
educational institutions can
run courses that are appli-

These three institutions

Mission to create convergence across sectors and
states in terms of skill training activities and to
achieve the vision of ‘A Skilled India’ of creating an
army of employable youth. Training partners were
roped in to impart skill training both in urban and
rural areas across the country. 300 million youth
were to be given skill-based training by 2024.
However, nearly 26 million youth have been trained
so far. This is where an accelerating impact is
needed if we are to become a $5 trillion economy.

BJP RUNNING WITH CONSTITUENTS OF NDA ON PM’S INITIATIVE
his opportunity has come
long after the era of Atal
Bihari Vajpayee when BJP is
taking along the constituents
of NDA. The most important thing is
that this initiative has also been taken
by PM Modi, who is already busy
preparing for the 2024 elec-
tions. Modi does not want the
NDA constituents to suffer
any loss of seats, so now the
PM himself is meeting fellow
parties over breakfast and
food and teaching them the
tricks of victory. The rounds
of these meetings started
from 31st July and
continued
till 10th
August.
In order
to coordinate with the constituents,
they have been divided into groups
of 10 each and the responsibility of
each group has been handed over to a
senior minister. But the most surpris-
ing thing is that BJP’s old ally
Akali Dal is missing from all
these meetings of NDA.
Akali Dal is feeling that
by going with BJP their
two traditional vote bank
Jats and Jatsikhs will
be broken from them.
That’s why Akali Dal
has chosen BSP instead
of BJP to go to elections
with them, because
there is a large
number of

CM Ashok Gehlot said
on Saturday that youth
have the power to bring
change in the society.
“Their energy and ability
to innovate can give a
new direction to our so-
ciety. In this direction,
the new youth policy will
become a powerful me-
dium to make our Vision
2030 a reality,” Gehlot
was addressing the state-
level youth mahapan-
chayat ‘Yuva Sankalp’
organized at the Agricul-
tural Research Center in
Durgapura, Jaipur on
Saturday.
With the new youth
policy, Rajasthan will be-
come the leading state of
the country by the year
2030, he said.Apresenta-
tion was given on the
new youth policy of Ra-
jasthan in the program
and a short film based on
it was also screened.
During this, Chairman
of Youth Board Sitaram
Lamba handed over the
draft of the new youth
policy to the Chief Min-
ister who also released
the booklet ‘Youth’s As-
pirations’. Prizes were
also given to the winners
of various competitions
in youth festival.The CM
said that the new youth
policy will be released
soon in the state.
It is the responsibility
of youth to preserve
the freedom of the
country. It takes
decades to build a
country and huge
sacrifices have to be
made. The country is
not a cake that can be
ordered online. It is our
right to be young. It is
our right to feel young.
KANHAIYA KUMAR,
CONGRESS LEADER
Along with the
implementation of
the youth policy, the
youth of the state also
need to be aware of
the functioning of
parliamentary
democracy. With this,
all public welfare
schemes will be able
to get on the ground
easily.

Gehlot said that new
decisions are being
taken continuously
for better law and order in
the state. “Strict action is
being taken by maintain-
ing records of miscreants
and by running a campaign
against bars and night clubs
which are open beyond the
stipulated time,” Gehlot said
and urged Prime Minister
Narendra Modi implement
the policy of mandatory
F.I.R. in the whole country.
CM Gehlot expressed concern over the increasing trend of drugs, hookah bars in
the state and said, “We launched a campaign against illegal hookah parlors. Boys
and girls go to hookah bars day and night. They enter nightclubs at 12 in the night,
leaves at 6 in the morning. This is a matter of concern, young boys and girls going in the
wrong direction. We have continuously campaigned against drugs and hookah bars. We
have made a law against the miscreants. Miscreants will be treated like history-sheeters
and their photo will be put up like a history sheeter in police stations.”
Keeping in mind
the strong youth
population, the
state govt had decided to
have a dedicated policy for
the youth. The draft of the
new youth policy has been
prepared by the Rajasthan
Youth Board with technical
assistance from the United

aligned with the Sustainable

the Fundamental Rights en-
shrined in the Constitution.
The policy covers 18 special
groups - youth girls, women,
scheduled tribes, scheduled
castes, youth from minority
communities, youth from

WILL MAHARASHTRA GET A NEW CHIEF
MINISTER WITH CHANGE IN LEADERSHIP?
WHAT WILL BE SCINDIA’S FUTURE?
here may be a big political explosion in
Maharashtra in the coming few days. If
the claims of reliable sources are to be
believed then there is every possibility of leader-
ship change in Maharashtra and Ajit Pawar may
be the new Chief Minister of the state in place
of Eknath Shinde. It is said that the BJP is very
worried about the Maratha voters of the state.
The trend of the Maratha voters of the state is still
visible somewhere towards Uddhav Thackeray.
Seeing this, the BJP wants to bet on the Maratha
satrap Ajit Pawar. At the same time, there is a
section of the BJP which is advocating handing
over the CM's chair to an OBC leader instead
of Ajit. The expansion of the Union Cabinet is
constantly being postponed due to the screw in
Maharashtra, because Praful Patel is being con-
sidered to get a place in the Modi cabinet from
NCP. If sources are to be believed, Praful Patel
may get the charge of Steel Ministry.
ccording to BJP sources, there are
reports of Scindia being ignored in
the Madhya Pradesh assembly elec-
tions, while the party leaders are preferring to
bet on two old leaders of the state i.e. Kailash
Vijayvargiya and Narendra Singh Tomar instead
of Jyotiraditya Scindia. The internal squabble
between Vijayvargiya and Scindia is not hid-
den from anyone. Since voices of discontent
have started emerging in the BJP cadre, now
Vijayvargiya and Tomar have got the responsi-
bility to contain this discontent. The BJP does
not want to lose the Malwa region at any cost,
so Vijayvargiya has also got this important
responsibility that ‘there he should dissuade
the disgruntled colleagues from the party and
re-paint them in saffron, a task in which he has
mastery.’ Meanwhile, till now, no formal respon-
sibility of Gwalior-Chambal division has been
assigned to Scindia.

Congress had in a way
boycotted some news

Congress was involved
in the debates organized
by these channels. After
some time of silence,
finally the TV chan-
nels also took a break
from it and the channel
'management' identified
some people and started
presenting them in their
debates wearing the tag
of 'Congress supporters'.
Potential questions and
their answers were sent
to these alleged support-
ers well in advance by
the channel, due to which
these 'alleged supporters'
could neither talk on the
party line nor defend the
Congress. A whole bunch
of his pseudo support-
ers were created by the
channels. After this, the
Congress allowed its
spokespersons to partici-
pate in these debates so
that they could forcefully
present their point of view
in the debate and defend

Till now, Gupta was on

The 90s marked the era when
sportswear transcended the gym
and became a fashion statement.
Tracksuits, windbreakers, and
sneakers became synonymous with
casual cool. This trend has evolved
into the athleisure phenomenon,
where comfort meets style. High-
fashion brands have seamlessly
integrated athletic elements into
their collections, sparking a sarto-
rial shift that prioritizes both ease
and flair.
Logomania, fueled by promi-
nent brand logos and eye-catching
prints, was a quintessential aspect
of 90s fashion. Today, logomania
is resurrected, with oversized
logos and bold branding
gracing garments and
accessories. Streetwear
enthusiasts are champi-
oning this trend, em-
bracing the distinct
visual language that
defined an era of bold
self-expression.
The 90s introduced
denim as a universal em-
blem of style, with baggy
jeans, denim jackets, and
dungarees becoming
fashion staples. Fast for-
ward to today, and denim
continues to evolve,
adapting to new silhou-
ettesandwasheswhilepre-
serving its timeless appeal.
Vintage denim finds and
reimagined classics illus-
trate the enduring nature
of this fabric’s allure.
In an era character-
ized by reinvention,
it’s no surprise that
90s fashion has
seamlessly inte-
grated into the con-
temporary fashion
tapestry. The re-
vival of its iconic
trends is not just a
homage to the
past; it’s a testa-
ment to the en-
during influence
of an era that
continues to
shape and in-
spire the way
we dress
today.

t is considered a
safe country to visit
now, depending on
the areas you cover.
The location of the
2023 earthquake
was hundreds of miles from famous
places in Turkey. The minimum
processing time for a Turkish visa
by VFS is only 15 days, and you can
even get it in a day if you already
have a USA visa. Now there is no
best time to visit as each season
brings new adventures, but if you
want to escape from the summer
heat, winter chills and the crowds,
the ideal time isApril/May and Sep-
tember/October.
English is not widely spoken in
Turkey, so make sure to download
google translate.
There are no strict rules for what
you should and shouldn't wear in
Turkey as generally, you can wear
anything you want, considering
what places you plan to visit in
which season. Turkey is broadly di-
vided into two areas Eastern /Asian
side which is more conservative
than the Western/European side.
WHAT TO PACK FOR YOUR TRIP
TO TURKEY?
A long skirt and head scarf will go
a long way. Visiting religious sites
requiring you to cover your arms
and legs will be handy.
Weather in Turkey can be pretty
unpredictable, so always carry a
small shawl which
can also be used as
a head scarf, and a
light jacket in your
backpack.
The markets of
Istanbul, better
known as Bazaars,
are heaven for shopa-
holics. So wear light cloth-
ing and comfortable shoes as
plenty of walking will be involved
in the tours.
Carry your cotton towel and
swimming costume if you like dip-
ping in the amusing Turkish Baths
known as Hammams. You will pay
double the price at Hammam if you
forget to pack your towel.
Carry beautiful long gowns /
dresses for pictures at palaces, mu-
seums, Pamukkale, or the Cotton
Castle, where you can find carbon-
ate mineral deposits left behind by
thermal water.Did you know Ranbir
and Katrina’s song Tu Jaane Na was
shot here?
You can even get a photo shoot
done for 250 euros per couple with
hot air balloons in the background
in Cappadocia. Various companies
like Cappadocia Panorama, Sultan
Carpets in Cappadocia, Selfie Bos-
phorous, and Rooftop Galata in Is-
tanbul provide their service and
long dresses for rent.
Pack according to the season. In
early spring, dresses with light-
weight jackets should do, while lay-
ers are a good option when travel-
ling in early winters with changea-
ble winters.Also,
a foldable um-
brella would be
helpful in scorch-
ing heat /rain.
Cappadocia has
a lot of activities
like quad biking
and horse riding, so
shorts/jeans with
comfortable shoes /
boots would be more ap-
propriate at that time.
Carry colourful costumes and
short dresses for beach destinations
in Fethiye, Antalya, Bodrum, and
Marmaris, as they have an extreme-
ly relaxed dress code.
Like in other countries, city life,
dress at dinner is generally wise
casual, though you may want a
glamorous dress or jacket in the
fancier hotels and restaurants.
Last, remember to leave room for
souvenirs on the way home, as Tur-
key is famous for beautiful lamps,
crockery, carpets etc.

Dharmendra Pradhan @dpradhanbjp IN-DEPTH AMENDMENTS TO GAMING LAWS FOR GREATER GOOD arliamenthasgivenitsapprovaltotheamend- ments to the Central and Integrated GSTlaws on e-gaming, casinos and horse-racing.There were loud protests from the online gaming industry when the GST council proposed 28 percent tax on online gaming for money. Playing an online game casually is distinct from playing an online game to make real money through betting or wagering. Play- ing online games like poker, which is a game of skill, for real money had become a career option for some youth. It is better if they earn money by using their talent in a more productive way. Betting on the other hand is all about luck where the probability of losing money is always high. Finance Minister Nirmala Si- tharaman rightly called it “nothing but gambling by any name”. It is foreign players who make money but don’t have to pay any tax in India will be severely affected by the changes as their websites/platforms can be blocked for non-compliance. P LONG WAIT FOR REVAMP OF CRIMINAL LAWS ENDS he Union Home Minister will be credited with overhauling the criminal justice sys- tem by doing away with the colonial-era Indian Penal Code, Criminal Procedure Code and the Evidence Act once the bills seeking to replace them are passed by Parliament. All three have been given Hindi names---Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita and Bharatiya Sakshya Sanhita, 2023. Significant changes have been made in all three codes to make them compatible with the changing nature of crimes and evidence and for speedy justice. The Bills rightly propose to drop references to Par- liament of the UK, Her Majesty’s Government, Pos- session of the British Crown, Court of Jus- tice in England, Her Majesty’s Dominions etc. These terms, though never used, ought to have been expunged soon after Independence but, for some reason, were al- lowed to be there. Some key changes which reflect in the proposed Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, 2023 include lynching, an act which has be- come all too frequent in recent times. It is defined as murder by five or more on grounds of race, caste and communi- ty. Terrorism has been added as organized crime while community service as punishment has been prescribed for cor- ruption. The Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita would now allow trial in absentia and on video con- ferencing, besides E-filing of FIRs. The provisions in the Bills attempt to make the laws more contemporaneous. Luring girls into inti- mate relationships with the false promise of mar- riage is only too common these days. It will now be considered a crime. To check cases of rape, the BNS proposes 20 years’ rigorous imprisonment. The learning of skills at an early is much easier and apart from learning basic skills for better career the students must engage in dancing, singing, and drawing activities as the advantages of indulging in such activities extend far beyond acquiring those specific skills. PURPOSE ORIENTED EDUCATION It is time to modify the traditional education system focused on marks and grades to include skill-based learning to prepare the children to face today’s real world. Most students, even after completing their education, re- main clueless about what career path to choose. Skill develop- ment during school education will help kids figure out their strengths and weaknesses quite early on in their lives. They will learn with a clear long-term objective instead of focusing solely on passing exams with high marks. ENCOURAGES INDEPENDENT AND OUT OF BOX THINKING The skill development opens multiple avenues to learn from, and makes more confident and independent individuals. Inde- pendence of thoughts and out of box thinking comes by apply- ing concepts in the real world. A curriculum cantered on skill development encourages kids to think deeper and solve prob- lems independently. They build high self-esteem and emerge as leaders as they are trained to think critically and analytically right from an early age. ACCEPTING FAILURES POSITIVELY Skill development and training helps instil emotional maturity in students. Learning new skills requires students to be willing to experiment. While doing so, they might face failures and dis- appointments but that will even- tually prepare them to accept failures gracefully and develop a ‘never give up’ attitude. AVAILABILITY OF BETTER WORKFORCE FOR FUTURE Starting skill development in schools at an early age can have a positive impact on the general fabric of the country’s workforce in the long run. The latest technology that enables audio-visual learning, interactive and smart classrooms, makes our students more compe- tent. Early introduction of skill development in the curriculum simplifies the transition from student to a working profes- sional; and the country will have a more superior workforce in the making. The skill development is crucial for future generations youth and it holds the key to in- creased entrepreneurship, great- er employment prospects, and economic progress. To ensure that youth have the abilities and information needed to succeed in the dynamic job market, gov- ernments, private businesses, and educational institutions must work coherently. There is a need to focus on the initiating skill development and further horn on these skills for brighter future of the youth and development and progress of our nation. Creating an army of employable, skilled, self-esteemed youth will be key to India’s aspirations of a $5 trillion economy. he formative years of a child are cru- cial in shap- ing their fu- ture. It is during these years that a strong foundation needs to be established for childrentodevelopintobet- ter, stronger all-round indi- viduals. School education undoubtedly plays an im- portant role in moulding a child’s personality. The word education has been branded akin to academic excellence but its gambit includes acquiring valuable life skills and a personality development. School edu- cation devoid of any oppor- tunities to nurture and en- hance skills does not give room for children to grow into all -round individuals. In addition to excelling in academics, children need to acquire skills that will help them enhance their physi- cal, artistic, and emotional aspects in their life and sur- vive in today’s competitive world. Self-awareness, ex- cellent communication skills, problem solving and criticalthinkingcapabilities are some of the important benefits of learning through an all-rounded curriculum. In today’s environment of rapid changes, the gov- ernment jobs are shrinking and the only way for youth seeking a promising future is to horn their skills.Young people face many challeng- es, including underemploy- ment, unemployment, and lack of opportunities and the only way to get past all these is skill development which is a process of ac- quiring new talents or en- hancing existing ones. On- the-job training, appren- ticeships, formal schooling, and vocational training are all included in scope of skill development. The skill de- velopment is going to be a top government priority as it not only helps people find better career prospects but also advances the nation’s economy. In 2015, the Govt hadlaunchedtheSkillIndia Mission to create conver- gence across sectors and states in terms of skill train- ing activities and to achieve the vision of ‘A Skilled In- dia’ of creating an army of employableyouth.Training partners were roped in to impart skill training both in urban and rural areas across the country. 300 million youth were to be given skill-based training by 2024. However, nearly 26 million youth have been trained so far. This is where an accelerating impact is needed if we are to become a $5 trillion economy. Skill development results inswellingthepoolofavail- able youth with up-to-date skills and are more employ- able. Those with modern- ized skills are in great de- mand and are more likely to land better jobs and earn more money. The skill de- velopmentmakesyouthself -reliantasitenablesthemto launch their own firms or become entrepreneurs, boostingtheeconomy.Mul- ti skilled youth with new informationandabilitieshas better flexibility in terms of changing occupations. The skill development will require synergised ef- forts from the public and private sectors as well as from educational institu- tions. The government can finance training initiatives and offer rewards to busi- nesses that make skill-de- velopment investments, the companies in the pri- vate sector can design ap- prenticeships and training programs to aid people in learning new skills and the educational institutions can run courses that are appli- cable to the labour market. These three institutions with a positive participa- tion of youth can signifi- cantly contribute to the development of skills. THE VIEWS EXPRESSED BY THE AUTHOR ARE PERSONAL IMPORTANCE OF SKILL DEVP The skill development is crucial for future genera- tions youth and it holds the key to increased entrepreneurship, greater employment prospects, and economic progress. The most important thing is that this initiative has also been taken by PM Modi, who is already busy preparing for the 2024 elec- tions. Modi does not want the NDA constituents to suffer any loss of seats, so now the PM himself is meeting fellow parties over breakfast and food and teaching them the tricks of victory. The rounds of these meetings started from 31st July and continued till 10th August. In order to coordinate with the constituents, they have been divided into groups of 10 each and the responsibility of each group has been handed over to a senior minister. But the most surpris- ing thing is that BJP’s old ally Akali Dal is missing from all these meetings of NDA. Akali Dal is feeling that by going with BJP their two traditional vote bank Jats and Jatsikhs will be broken from them. That’s why Akali Dal has chosen BSP instead of BJP to go to elections with them, because there is a large number of Dalits in Punjab. T ‘YUVA SANKALP’ - STATE LEVEL YOUTH MAHAPANCHAYAT Youthcanchangesociety:CM Naresh Sharma Jaipur CM Ashok Gehlot said on Saturday that youth have the power to bring change in the society. “Their energy and ability to innovate can give a new direction to our so- ciety. In this direction, the new youth policy will become a powerful me- dium to make our Vision 2030 a reality,” Gehlot was addressing the state- level youth mahapan- chayat ‘Yuva Sankalp’ organized at the Agricul- tural Research Center in Durgapura, Jaipur on Saturday. With the new youth policy, Rajasthan will be- come the leading state of the country by the year 2030, he said.Apresenta- tion was given on the new youth policy of Ra- jasthan in the program and a short film based on it was also screened. During this, Chairman of Youth Board Sitaram Lamba handed over the draft of the new youth policy to the Chief Min- ister who also released the booklet ‘Youth’s As- pirations’. Prizes were also given to the winners of various competitions in youth festival. The CM said that the new youth policy will be released soon in the state. It is the responsibility of youth to preserve the freedom of the country. It takes decades to build a country and huge sacrifices have to be made. The country is not a cake that can be ordered online. It is our right to be young. It is our right to feel young. KANHAIYA KUMAR, CONGRESS LEADER Along with the implementation of the youth policy, the youth of the state also need to be aware of the functioning of parliamentary democracy. With this, all public welfare schemes will be able to get on the ground easily. DR CP JOSHI, ASSEMBLY SPEAKER Making country Cong- free will never happen. The Congress is in every house of the country, while the condition of BJP is getting worse. There is a split in their party. Modi ji’s respect is waning within his party. This should be a matter of concern. ASHOKGEHLOT, CHIEF MINISTER New youth policy 2023 for Rajasthan released by CM Ashok Gehlot Compulsory FIR should be implemented in whole country Gehlot said that new decisions are being taken continuously for better law and order in the state. “Strict action is being taken by maintain- ing records of miscreants and by running a campaign against bars and night clubs which are open beyond the stipulated time,” Gehlot said and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi implement the policy of mandatory F.I.R. in the whole country. CM Gehlot expressed concern over the increasing trend of drugs, hookah bars in the state and said, “We launched a campaign against illegal hookah parlors. Boys and girls go to hookah bars day and night. They enter nightclubs at 12 in the night, leaves at 6 in the morning. This is a matter of concern, young boys and girls going in the wrong direction. We have continuously campaigned against drugs and hookah bars. We have made a law against the miscreants. Miscreants will be treated like history-sheeters and their photo will be put up like a history sheeter in police stations.” Keeping in mind the strong youth population, the state govt had decided to have a dedicated policy for the youth. The draft of the new youth policy has been prepared by the Rajasthan Youth Board with technical assistance from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). This policy is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals and the Fundamental Rights en- shrined in the Constitution. The policy covers 18 special groups - youth girls, women, scheduled tribes, scheduled castes, youth from minority communities, youth from urban slums, migrant youth, youth with disabilities, youth at risk, youth affected by hu- man trafficking and violence etc. The policy will work on five primary subjects. ‘COMPULSORY FIR’ MUST BE IMPLEMENTED IN WHOLE COUNTRY: CM CM STRICT ON CLUB CULTURE, SAYS PHOTOS WILL BE PASTED IN THANAS WHAT’S IN THE NEW YOUTH POLICY CM Ashok Gehlot and Sitaram Lamba launching the new youth policy in Jaipur on Saturday. WILL MAHARASHTRA GET A NEW CHIEF MINISTER WITH CHANGE IN LEADERSHIP? WHAT WILL BE SCINDIA’S FUTURE? here may be a big political explosion in Maharashtra in the coming few days. If the claims of reliable sources are to be believed then there is every possibility of leader- ship change in Maharashtra and Ajit Pawar may be the new Chief Minister of the state in place of Eknath Shinde. It is said that the BJP is very worried about the Maratha voters of the state. The trend of the Maratha voters of the state is still visible somewhere towards Uddhav Thackeray. Seeing this, the BJP wants to bet on the Maratha satrap Ajit Pawar. At the same time, there is a section of the BJP which is advocating handing over the CM's chair to an OBC leader instead of Ajit. The expansion of the Union Cabinet is constantly being postponed due to the screw in Maharashtra, because Praful Patel is being con- sidered to get a place in the Modi cabinet from NCP. If sources are to be believed, Praful Patel may get the charge of Steel Ministry. ccording to BJP sources, there are reports of Scindia being ignored in the Madhya Pradesh assembly elec- tions, while the party leaders are preferring to bet on two old leaders of the state i.e. Kailash Vijayvargiya and Narendra Singh Tomar instead of Jyotiraditya Scindia. The internal squabble between Vijayvargiya and Scindia is not hid- den from anyone. Since voices of discontent have started emerging in the BJP cadre, now Vijayvargiya and Tomar have got the responsi- bility to contain this discontent. The BJP does not want to lose the Malwa region at any cost, so Vijayvargiya has also got this important responsibility that ‘there he should dissuade the disgruntled colleagues from the party and re-paint them in saffron, a task in which he has mastery.’ Meanwhile, till now, no formal respon- sibility of Gwalior-Chambal division has been assigned to Scindia. T A CONG'S CHANGING ATTITUDE TOWARDS NEWS CHANNELS ow the Con- gress has made a massive change in its approach regarding news chan- nels. After the humiliat- ing defeat in the 2019 general elections, the Congress had in a way boycotted some news channels and no official spokesperson of the Congress was involved in the debates organized by these channels. After some time of silence, finally the TV chan- nels also took a break from it and the channel 'management' identified some people and started presenting them in their debates wearing the tag of 'Congress supporters'. Potential questions and their answers were sent to these alleged support- ers well in advance by the channel, due to which these 'alleged supporters' could neither talk on the party line nor defend the Congress. A whole bunch of his pseudo support- ers were created by the channels. After this, the Congress allowed its spokespersons to partici- pate in these debates so that they could forcefully present their point of view in the debate and defend the party. N Abhishek Shrivastava Jaipur In the JDA Director (Law) Dinesh Gupta transfer case, the Ra- jasthan High Court sud- denly transferred Dinesh Gupta on Friday to the post of DJ Bundi. Till now, Gupta was on the important post of JDA Director (Law). According to BJP sources, Gupta was con- stantly raising cases of alleged irregularities and corruption in JDA. One of these cases is re- lated to 19.5 acres of land divided into two pieces between Tonk Road and JLN Marg. Judge Dinesh Gupta himself wrote a letter to the Gehlot government two months ago and raised the issue of land conversion of this 19.5 acres of land. Now, with this devel- opment, there is reaction in BJP to Gupta being removed from JDA and sent to Bundi. Moreo- ver, a BJP leader has ac- cused the Gehlot gov- ernment saying, “Hon- est officers trying to stop corruption are now being transferred. That’s why the entire episode of this 19.5 acres of land should be investigated by ACB-ED.” DineshGupta Jagdeesh Chandra along with Mallika Singh felicitating Ashok Rathore, GM Rambagh Palace Jaipur with Hall of Fame Award (GM of the Year) during the Food and Hospitality Awards 2023 at Rambagh Palace in Jaipur on Saturday. As we fast-forward to the present day, the era’s icon- ic trends have woven their way back into the fabric of modern style. From grunge and minimalism to streetwear and sporty chic, the 90s served as a melting pot of di- verse influences that continue to inspire today’s fashion landscape. The grunge aes- thetic, popularized by bands like Nir- vana and Pearl Jam, has resurfaced as a cornerstone of 90s fashion. The carefree yet edgy vibe of flannel shirts, ripped jeans, and combat boots cap- tures the essence of an era that em- braced rebellion and self-expres- sion. Today, fashionistas are fusing grunge’s nonchalant attitude with polished touches, creating a harmo- nious blend of rugged elegance. The 90s marked the era when sportswear transcended the gym and became a fashion statement. Tracksuits, windbreakers, and sneakers became synonymous with casual cool. This trend has evolved into the athleisure phenomenon, where comfort meets style. High- fashion brands have seamlessly integrated athletic elements into their collections, sparking a sarto- rial shift that prioritizes both ease and flair. Logomania, fueled by promi- nent brand logos and eye-catching prints, was a quintessential aspect of 90s fashion. Today, logomania is resurrected, with oversized logos and bold branding gracing garments and accessories. Streetwear enthusiasts are champi- oning this trend, em- bracing the distinct visual language that defined an era of bold self-expression. The 90s introduced denim as a universal em- blem of style, with baggy jeans, denim jackets, and dungarees becoming fashion staples. Fast for- ward to today, and denim continues to evolve, adapting to new silhou- ettesandwasheswhilepre- serving its timeless appeal. In an era character- ized by reinvention, it’s no surprise that 90s fashion has seamlessly inte- grated into the con- temporary fashion tapestry.
