2. Logo
I did some research into logos for different industries, and I came to the conclusion
most magazine companies don’t have much of a logo and mainly focus on their
title. I then decided I needed a good word for the magazine company I will make as
the name is basically the logo aswell.
Initial ideas
I brainstormed some words and decided on wayfarer magazine as I though it
sounded fancy and could represent fashion from all over. I was happy with this
name and started finding a good font, at this point I then realised I needed to make
sure the name wasn’t taken, which sadly it already was. I then decided I would just
look through some words used while talking about current fashion and trends, I
found the phrase “fashion forecast” this is when someone tries to predict the next
big thing or the next trend in fashion, like a weather forecast. I decided this word
worked well, explained my ideas of what I want to do very well and also still seems
professional.
3. Final product
I found a font that looked good with the name I chose, I needed
something that looked professional, was easy to read and look in place.
I went with neothic as this was the best looking font I could find online
that was public domain . I wrote out my title and decided I needed to
add something extra to it, I then decided I would highlight the
alliteration by increasing the font size of the Fs and changing their
colour. I decided to go with grey as it is professional and most fashion
magazines keep their titles and logo very basic colours, so I decided to
do the same as to not make mine too different. I added the large ff at
the top to complete the logo giving it more memorable.
