3. INTRODUCTION OF HUMAN RIGHTS
• In Pakistan, human rights are defined as the fundamental
rights and freedoms that every individual is entitled to,
regardless of race, religion, gender, or status. These rights
are protected by the Constitution of Pakistan and
encompass various aspects, including social, economic,
and political liberties, aimed at ensuring dignity, equality,
and justice for all citizens.
4. HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE
• Independence and Early Years : Pakistan's independence in 1947 laid the
foundation for a commitment to human rights, inspired by the vision of its founding
father, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, for a democratic and inclusive nation.
Constitutional Framework : The Constitution of Pakistan, notably the 1973
Constitution, incorporates provisions safeguarding fundamental rights,
including equality before the law, freedom of speech, religion, and assembly.
Military Dictatorships: Periods of military rule in Pakistan, notably under leaders
like Ayub Khan, Zia-ul-Haq, and Pervez Musharraf, often saw restrictions on civil
liberties, censorship, and human rights violations, including suppression of political
opposition and curtailment of free speech.
5. • Women's Rights : Efforts have been made to improve women's rights, such as
legislative reforms addressing honor killings, domestic violence, and workplace
discrimination. However, gender disparities and cultural practices still pose obstacles

grievances regarding autonomy, resource rights, and alleged human rights abuses in

Has Right To Make Peaceful assembly
without Weapons, And Reasonable
restrictions Have Been Imposed By Law For
The Benefit of People..

Of Pakistan Everyone Has To Right To
Speech And Expression And It Also
Fundamental Right Of Person But
Reasonable.
Political Freedom : According To
Constitution Of Pakistan, everyone Has
Right To To Be member Of Any Political
Party But Government Servants Not
Allowed.

Pakistan Will Have Right To Practice And
Propagate Of His Religion.

Pakistan, All Citizens Are Equal In The Eye
Of Law And Are Entitled with Equal Rights,
No Discrimination on The Basis Of Race,
Religion And Caste..
10. CHALLENGES AND ISSUES
• The Constitution Of Pakistan Provides Fundamental Right To
It's Citizen Which Included Freedom Of Speech, religious,
Thought, Opinions, and Freedom Of Life Etc,Pakistan Is
Developing country, And Is Facing Different Crises But There
Are Also Different Issues Related To Human Rights

11. ATTACKS ON CIVIL SOCIETY
• Civil Society means A Community of
People Having Same Interests And
Customs And In Pakistan Civil Societies
Are Under Attack.
For Example, Attacks On Educational
Institution threatens The Life Of Student
Which Arise Fear Among The Students
And Parents, Which Is Threat To Both
Education And Life Of Student And
Teachers.
12. FREEDOM OF RELIGION
• Freedom Of Religion, Pakistan
Constitution Provides Rights To The
Minorities To Practice Their Religion
Freely, As Everybody Has Equal Right
To Practice His Or Her Religion But
Minorities Are The Higher Risk In
Pakistan, As One Of The Church Was
Attacked By Terrorists In Peshawar
And Also Gurdwara As Attacked By
Terrorists.
13. WOMEN RIGHTS
• Many Women In Pakistan Face
Different Problems For Example,
Rape, Acid Attacks And Domestic
violence etc.
• Majority Of Rural Population Is
Facing Such Problems Where
Women Becomes Victim Of
Different Attacks Which Ruined
Their Lives.
14. HUMAN RIGHTS DEFENDERS
• Human Rights Defenders Are
Lawyers, Journalist Or
Activists which Are Also
Subjected To Attacks, Threats
And Harassment, As They
Are Able To Raise Their Voice
against the Unlawful Acts
By The Criminals
15. SOLUTION
• Education and Awareness : Educating communities
about human rights, their importance, and the impact
of violations can foster understanding and empathy,
encouraging people to stand up for their rights and the
rights of others
Legislative and Policy Frameworks : Developing and
implementing robust laws and policies that protect
human rights is crucial. Effective enforcement
mechanisms and accountability measures ensure
these rights are upheld.
16. • Advocacy and Empowerment : Supporting advocacy groups and empowering
affected communities to voice their concerns, participate in decision-making
processes, and access resources strengthens their ability to protect their rights.
Global Cooperation and Diplomacy : Collaborating across borders, engaging in
diplomacy, and forming alliances at international levels help address human rights
violations that transcend national boundaries.
Socioeconomic Development and Equality : Promoting economic and social
development while ensuring equal opportunities for all contributes to reducing
disparities and fostering an environment where human rights can flourish.
Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding : Resolving conflicts and promoting peace are
fundamental to safeguarding human rights. Addressing root causes of conflicts and
promoting reconciliation are critical steps.
