2. Oil waste is a big factor of marine
biodiversity destruction. Lubricant
oils are a common element in our
daily lives, however, through their
use, they lose their properties,
which means that they become
contaminated and at some point,
they cease to be fit for the use
they were originally intended for.
3. Oil pollution can have a
devastating effect on the
water environment, it
spreads over the surface
in a thin layer that stops
oxygen getting to the
plants and animals that
live in the water.
4. Our vision is to restore the lost
marine biodiversity and save
endangered sea species before
they go extinct.
5. Our plan is for high school’s students to
let them learn more about this problem
by visiting aquariums and marine life
parks. By doing that we can raise
awareness and money for our project
and cooperate with local
marine protection organizations.

7. WHO ARE OUR
STAKEHOLDERS?
• CYMEPA (Cyprus)
• AIMM (Portugal)
• ETHERIA and ARCHIPELAGOS (Greece)
• MAREVIVO (Italy)
8. This project unites students
from all around the world to
educate young people about
maritime biodiversity.
