Editor's Notes

  • #5 Welcome all be here with us today. we are having a pre-world ocean day celebration here in perhentian island ! On World Oceans Day we all gather around to celebrate and honor the oceans, which connects us all. 1. as a way to celebrate our world's shared ocean and our personal conenction to the sea, as well as raise awareness about the important role the ocean plays in our lives and the important ways people can help to protect it. 2. Be part of the growing global celebration. and in partnership with many other organization and networks.
  • #6 1. World Oceans Day is an annual observation to honour the world's oceans, celebrate the products the ocean provides such as seafood as well as marine life itself for aquariums, pets, and also a time to appreciate its own intrinsic value. The ocean also provides sea-lanes for international trade. Global pollution and over-consumption of fish have resulted in drastically dwindling population of the majority of species. 2. The Ocean Project, working in partnership with the World Ocean Network, has been promoting WOD since 2003 with its network of over 1,600 ocean conservation organizations and others throughout the world. Events performed for WOD and awareness includes beach cleanups, educational programs, art contests, film festivals, and sustainable seafood events.
  • #7 1. encourage individuals to think what ocean has offer all of us with hopes of conserving it for present and the future generations. 2. discover the wealth of diverse and beautiful ocean creatures and habitats, how our daily actions affect them, and how we are all interconnected. 3.we are all linked to, and through, the ocean! By taking care of your backyard and helping in your community, you are acting as a caretaker of our ocean. Making small modifications to your everyday habits will help and involving your family, friends, and community will greatly benefit our blue planet! 4.whether you live inland or on the coast we are all connected to the ocean. Take the time to think about how the ocean affects you, and how you affect the ocean, and then organize or participate in activities that celebrate our ocean.
