job Responsibilities & Roles
1. Conduct inspection of ongoing installations of structural steel members in the
site and factory as well as ensured that all work is being carried out as per
2. project specification & drawings.
2. Coordinate with Sub-contractor, Main contractor and client representatives for
daily inspections.
3. Internal Inspections for Fit-ups, Weld Visual and witnessing NDT tests and
make sure that site weld joints are meeting to project specification and
code.
4. Perform surveillance inspections at fabrication shop and making quality
violations report and report to QC Manager. Issuing Non-Conformance
Report if necessary.
5. Inspection for Raw material and Storage and Review MTC and ensure that the
materials are meeting to project specification.
6. Review the Qualification of WPS/PQR with respective codes & created all
documents like ITP’s, WPS/PQR, WPQ and stage wise Inspection Reports.
7. Material inspection & Review of mill test certificates with project specification
and code.
8. Visual and dimensional inspection of fabricated items and all related jobs.
9. NDT requirement identification as per project specification and coordinating
with NDT service providers and review of all NDT reports.
10. Ensure the Calibration of welding machine, baking oven, measuring and
monitoring equipments and maintaining the records.
11. Coordination with material and mechanical testing laboratories.

requirement.

Inspection of application of coating i.e. Wet paint (mixed) viscosity and
temperature & application of epoxy paint.
Online Inspection & testing on coated pipes for Wet film thickness.
Offline testing & inspection on coated pipes for Dry film thickness,
appearance and Continuity.
Looking after Pickling & Passivation of stainless steel piping raw
materials, fabricated spools & other structural items.
Maintaining & monitoring Coating Inspection Reports on daily basis with
reference to different projects in their mutually agreed format
Release of fabricated spools for painting.
Allocation of work load to fitters and welders.
Inspection of piping spools as per drawing.
Inspection of Protecting Coating Materials to make sure the compliance with
Project Specification.
Review of painting specifications, blasting and painting procedures, materials
receipt inspection and verification.
Review the test certificate of Filler Metal and consumable as per WPS.
Witness to the welder qualification test (WQT) and monitoring all parameter as
per WPS (Current, Voltage, Travelling Speed and heat input).
Preparing Welders Performance Records (WPQR) & Welder ID Cards.
Witness to Welder Qualification Guide Bend Test (Side, Root & Face Bend
Test).
Witness to Macro etches Test.
Monitoring Welder performance and discussion with Client (FEDO) for
contractor Production Quality.
Pipe fit up Welding Inspection and Final Inspection for: Stainless Steel A 312-
TP 304L, TP 316 with respect to internal and external alignment, root gap, Bevel
angle, Groove angle as per approved drawing, applicable WPS, Project
Specifications from Client.
Visual Inspection of welding pipe and Structure as per Code requirements.
Inspection of piping spool as per Isometric Drawing.
4. Inspection of piping for Final line checking as per P& ID & Isometric Drawing.
