PAINTING & COATINGS ACTIVITIES:
• Review all paints & coating specification, manufacturer’s product data sheet, Painting
crew approvals, equipment calibration certificates, safety standards and other paints /
coatings related documents.
• Check all verifying documents to be consistent with the original documents.
• Check all inspection equipments, abrasive blasting equipments are all properly tagged
prior to commencement of the paints / coatings activities.

• All steel structures are duly recorded before blasting works is started. We record
spool numbers and paint specs plus color code.
• Area of steel structures shall be washed with specified product to remove dust,
grease or oil then thoroughly washed with fresh water.
• After dry up, the whole area is blasted surface is visually inspected with surface
profile comparator for acceptance which is measured with spring loaded micrometer and
tester tape. The chlorine content is checked and area cleaned for paint
Blasting Inspection:
• Hardness, size, cleanliness and storage of the grit.
• Monitoring and verifying the conditions of pressure gauge, air filters and
compressors.
• Monitoring and verifying the required pressure distance between blast surface and
blast nozzle.
• Verifying the roughness of the blasted area, the surface profile along with elco meter
and colour of the surface.
PAINTING STAGE INSPECTION:
• Verifying and maintaining the storage, batch and expiry of paints.
