Bearishtrendwascontinuedinchanafuturesduetohigherstockiestliquidationinlocalmandiesalongwithlimitedbuyingbytradersathigherlevels.TheNCDEXfuturesdeclinedby1.43percenttoday.Tradersmentionedthatstrongrallyinchanapricesinthepreviousweekhasencouragedstockiesttoliquidatetheiroldstocksathigherlevels.Thetotaldailyarrivalshavealsobeenincreasedto35motorsintoday'strading.Thefragiledemandinotherpulseshavealsoaddedsellingpressureinchanamarket.However,overallchanasowinghaswitnessedsluggishtrendastotalacreagewasdeclinedby12percenton14thNovember2014toreach40.99lakhhectares.ThiswasmainlyduetofragilesowinginMadhyaPradeshandUttarPradesh.TheNCDEXChanaDecemberfuturesclosedatRs3111perquintal,down1.45percentfromthelasttrading.TheNCDEXfuturesadded14.24percentinopeninterestindicatingfreshshortpositionbytrader.
Bargainbuyingwasseeninguarseedfuturesontheaccountofweakproductionestimatesinthecurrentyearalongwithdelayedarrivalsinlocalmandies.TheNCDEXfuturesadded1.62percenttoday.Aspermarketsources,thetotalguarseedproductioninthecurrentyearisreportedaround12.5milliontonnes,downalmost43percentfromthelastyear.ThisismainlyontheaccountofweakrainfallinmajorproducingstatessuchasHaryanaandRajasthan.Thepriceswerealsoincreasedbyweaknewarrivalsinlocalmandies.Themarketsourcesstatedthatfresharrivalsofaround1.25lakhbagshavebeenreportedinlocalmandies,downalmost0.40-0.60lakhtonnesfromthelastyearinthesameperiod.TheNCDEXNovemberGuarseedfuturessettledatRs4923perquintal,added1.62percenttoday.TheNCDEXfuturesdeclinedby1.68percentinopeninterestindicatingshortcoveringbytraders.

Shortsupplyofseedisalmostclearasmajorportionofstockisinstronghandsandretainingintentionofbigplayerswouldcontinuetolendsupporttothecashmarketfundamental.However,parityatcurrentlevelremainsunderquestionanditmaypressurizemarkettosomeextent.CastorseedXGujaratmandiisbeingtradedunchangedat45,500pertonne,sameaslastweekandmaymoveslightlyupfromcurrentlevelinthethirdweekofNov.However,itishigherthanthepricerealised(Rs37553pertonne)inthesecondweekofNov.2013.CastorMealExport(FAS),Ex-Kandlaincreasedby$5to$122pertonnelastweek.However,itis$5higherfromthepriceofNovfirstweek.Marketparticipantsexpectittotouch$125bytheendofthemonthdespitesteadydemandfromoverseasmarket.Castorseedoilexportpricehasincreasedconsiderablyinlastonemonthanditisnowbeingquotedat$1520pertonne.Areaundercastorseedwasrecordedat10.35lakhha.on10thOct,2014against9.84lakhhacoveredinlastyear.Itis52thousandhahigherthanlastyear.AreainGujaratwasrecordedat7.33lakhhaagainst6.22lakhhalastyear.
MajorbuyerslikeChina,EUandUSmayincreasebuyinginincreasingmarket.LastweekFOBquotesinKandlahoverintherangeof$1515pertonne.DemandfromChina,EU,USandJapanislikelytocontinuewithnormalpacetillDecember.However, majorbuyersmayrestrictbuyinginJan,FebandMarchandwouldtrytoanalyseemergingscenarioforthenextmarketingseasonasusual.
