MOTA-ENGIL MALAWI
DEPARTMENT: MOTA AFRICA CETRAL STORES (LOGISTICS)
Stock Control and Material /parts Procurement for Mota-Engil Africa Projects.
Duration: February 2015-Present
Position: PROCUREMENT ENGINEER (Inventory controller)
The primary responsibility being increasing and maintaining company profitability by
maintaining accurate inventory levels; and also ensuring that optimal inventory is present and
ready for use.
KEY RESPOSIBILITIES:
-Controlling all administration related to receiving and dispatching of stock in and stock out of
the warehouse.
-Ensure that there is at all times an accurate count and record of all stock in the warehouse for
each business unit.
-Monitor stock and reorder levels for all products and items.
- Facilitate regular stock takes, capture and reconcile with current computerized stock.
- Shrinkage control and related recordkeeping.
- Responsible for all inter-departmental recharges and budget tracking.
- Preparing Material requisition as per required stock levels.
-Verification of the inward and outward materials against relevant parking list and delivery
documents
-Assist with all ad hoc administration duties related to the warehouse business unit.
-Co-ordinate with procurement department to prepare purchase orders
-Following Bin Card System and ascertaining the proper labeling, tagging of materials.
-Work closely with user departments to recommend quantities of supplies for purchase, and
exercise budgetary control over warehouse operations. Responsible for regular review of stock

and surplus inventory.

Keeping record of stock and inventory and accounting details of production unit
Utilizing Inventory Optimizer, Ellipse and SAP software tool to review inventory

PURPOSE:
Monitor and control activities associated with hydropower generation. Operate plant
equipment, such as turbines, pumps, valves, gates, fans, electric control boards, and
battery banks. Monitor equipment operation and performance and make necessary
adjustments to ensure optimal performance. Perform equipment maintenance and
repair as necessary.
DUTIES:
Installs, adjusts, inspects, services and repairs a variety of mechanical equipment
and mechanical parts of electrical machinery utilized in an electrical power
station
Identify or address malfunctions of hydroelectric plant operational equipment,
such as generators, transformers, or turbines.
Monitor hydroelectric power plant equipment operation and performance,
adjusting to performance specifications, as necessary.
Start, adjust, or stop generating units, operating valves, gates, or auxiliary
equipment in hydroelectric power generating plants.
Communicate status of hydroelectric operating equipment to dispatchers or
supervisors.
Implement load or switching orders in hydroelectric plants, in accordance with
specifications or instructions.
Inspect water-powered electric generators or auxiliary equipment in
hydroelectric plants to verify proper operation or to determine maintenance or
repair needs.
Installs tests and maintains heating, ventilating and air conditioning such as
compressors, condensers, pumps, control systems, fans humidifiers, chillers and
heat exchangers.
Installs, tests, maintain and repairs high voltage generators, motors, actuators
equipment, turbine controls, station auxiliaries, lights and control measuring
devices.

POSITION: Fleet Manager.
Job Purpose
Lead the activities of the maintenance department to ensure that fleet and heavy
equipment is available, dependable and safe at all times. Oversee maintenance
preventative maintenance program and ensure compliance with corporate policies and
government regulations.
