Primary Responsibilities:
Managed the operations of the Children of the Nations National Office and coordinate the Venture
Program between Children of the Nations-Malawi (COTN-MA) and Children of the Nations-USA (COTN-
USA).
As a National Venture Coordinator; I worked in collaboration with the Country Director and other
departmental heads in writing project proposals, budgets and coordinated all logistics of groups of
people that came from oversees to work alongside nationals in projects to meet the needs and
challenges of the people in all sites Children of the Nations-Malawi is operating.
Specific Responsibilities:
Management of Construction work, Venture Teams, and all field/outreach projects for the benefit of
the communities and Organization at large.
Managing Personnel and Hospitality Management (security service, cafeteria/kitchen, House-keeping
and Maintenance).
Worked with the Country Director and the Finance and Administration Director to create and develop
monthly/yearly budgets for all aspects of the Center and Venture Program.
Participated in writing project proposals and responsible in sending them annually for Venture
Program to Liaison Officer of Malawi based in Washington Seattle- USA.
Liaise with all concerned departments within the organization, community leaders and
partners/donors on better achievement of the projects.
Planned/hosted/followed-up and coordinated all logistics of national and international teams/guests
working in various projects with COTN-Malawi.
Compiled data/information on all venture projects for assessment, evaluation and planning purposes
Assisted in dealing with Human Resource issues for the organization (discipline, recruitment,
attendance).
Assisted in the planning and organization programme meetings, workshops and Events Management.
Assisted in networking, partnership and corroboration of COTN with other stakeholders and NGOs in
addressing issues of orphans and destitute children, HIV and AIDS in the communities.
Assisted in ensuring proper use of organization and maintenance of physical assets including
buildings/housing; water; power management and inventory of resources.
Providing overall leadership in steering the operations of the National Office towards efficiency and
effectiveness.
Managing the relationship between the National Office and all departments within the organization.
Assisted in developing organization strategies, policies and annual plans for the achievement of the
Organization’s mission.

Team Leader & facilitator:
Team Leader in the USA (Washington Seattle, California, Florida, Colorado, Arizona, and Hawaii) to raise
awareness and carried out resource mobilization for orphans and vulnerable children under COTN
support and care.
