In some countries young people have little leisure time and are under a lot of
pressure to work hard in their studies. What do you think are the causes and
effects of this condition? Plan your response, and then write a cause or effect
essay.
Thesis statement:
Pressure and stress may bring some negative effects to young people such as
hard to concentrate on other things, health problems and affect family life.

Effects of under pressure to work hard in studies
In some countries, young people spend most of their time working hard in
their studies. They are stressed from the pressure of studies as a result of plenty
of homeworks and assignments given at school. They only have little leisure time
and get not enough rest every day. Pressure and stress works like a slow poison .

said that stress is actually a normal part of our lives. In fact, this problem may
bring some negative effects to young people such as hard to concentrate on
other things, health problems and affect family life.
Firstly, young people who under academic pressure are normally hard to
concentrate on any other things happened on their surroundings. That person is

Besides that, putting too much pressure also contribute to some health

When young people are stressed for a long time, they can have

In addition, it can even damage our brain. Stress is the cause of losing cells in
the human brain. According to scientists, this event can occur in the
hippocampus part which collects our memories in our brain. This is the cause of

Moreover, pressure and stress also affect young people’s family life. Since
their life is becoming hurry and busy, young people have no enough time to stay
with family.Their relationship with family members will be getting worse because
they do not have time to talk to parents and siblings and even show their love
and care for them. If this problem carry on for a long period, a gap may form
between young people and their family. Their relationship cannot be so closed
like they were last time. Sometimes, stress alsomakes them feel frustrated, lose
temper more often, and yell at people around them for no
reason.

5. In a nutshell, hard to concentrate on other things, health problems and
neglected family life are the negative effects for young people as a result of
putting too much pressure on themselves in their study life. It is obvious that
under pressure is a serious problem. What young people must do is managing
their time properly and get enough rest. I strongly believe that being stressed is
very dangerous and it brings us only unhappiness. We should do our best to
