• An informal letter is a letter that is written in a casual manner.
You can write to them to cousins, relatives, friends or family.
An informal letter can be written even to your formal contacts
if you share a friendly relationship with them.
• Informal letters are written to family, friends, and relatives
and also to someone with whom you do not share any
professional relation.

1. Heading: It can include address and date.. Usually in informal letters
addresses are not required to write.
2. Salutation: This contains all the greetings that we write like dear etc.
ex. Dear Uncle..
3. Body: This part of the letter contains the main information, reason and
the message of writing the letter.
4. Closing: This expression is just an indication to close the letter like
yours lovingly, yours truly.
5. Signature line: This part contains your name at the end of the letter.
