What is a letter
 A letter is a written message sent from one person to another. It can
be formal or informal
 It is often used to express thoughts, feelings, or information.

 Informal letter is a letter that is usually written to people that are close to
us. This can be family members or friends.
 Informal letters are typically shorter and less structured.

1. Senders Address – At the top right corner
 Why is it important? It shows the receiver where the letter comes from.
2. Salutation/Greeting usually start with Dear then followed by the name of the
receiver.
 It is on the left-hand side of the page.

 It is what you have to say

What are contractions? These are shortened forms of words that are
created by omitting certain letters and replacing them with an
apostrophe.
