15. An Informal Letter
They usually turn to family and friends to keep in touch
with them, congratulate them on something, or just tell
them something about our lives.
The language used is simple and similar to the one used
in everyday life.
16. The scheme to follow would be as
follows:
1. Opening: It is not necessary to put the address of
the recipient and we can start the letter with dear +
the name of the person.
2. Introduction: Briefly, we explain the reason for
our letter.
3. Body: Is the body of the letter, where we report
everything we want to say to the person.
4. Closing: Is the farewell of the letter. We sign only
by writing our name.
