FAAN Port Harcourt international Airport Omagwa Engr. Sunday Onuche COREN,
MNSE and the entire staff of civil/building department for the love and support

ABSTRACT
The Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) is a skill training
program designed to expose and prepare students of tertiary Institutions for the
industrial work situation they are likely to encounter after graduation.
The SIWES report provides detailed activities carried out and the relevant
experience(s) gained at Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) during the
industrial attachment. The trainee was actively involved in the construction of
Road Shoulder, maintenance on the runway pavement and the apron
This report also details the activities carried out during the preparation of asphalt
, installation of safety signage and technical experience gained during the period
the trainee was present. It also details the challenges the trainee faced and
various recommendations.
