From an entry level Technician I worked my way up to journeyman helping maintain the existing
HFC System and adjusting legacy equipment including but not limited to all Audio/Video equipment,
perform regular frequency check of Modulated/Demodulated synchronized devices, Worked with a
team to install and maintain new digital simulcast dish network. Helped convert the old HFC System to
new digital Network. Worked independently under minimal supervision, by performing tasks
associated with the installation, acceptance and maintenance of Transport equipment, Signaling (such
as ss7), Private Line and Data Services, install Channel Servicing Unit/Data Servicing Unit
(CSU/DSU) and Customer Premise Equipment (CPE). Responsible for the outside plant network
including metro and long haul fibers. Performs a wide spectrum of moderately complex assignments
requiring alternative analysis, innovation and judgment. Assumes all routine tasks for major or multiple
projects, and periodically called upon to be involved in decision making. Excellent interpersonal skills,
Can take role as team leader, can mentor or train other Technicians.

Was recruited as a Network Tech II whose essential duties included but were not limited to
Installations, provisioning of all CPE equipment, testing and maintaining DS0 through OC192 services,
2. all types of Transport equipment including core system servers, familiar with Signaling, Private Line,
data services, (CSU/DSU) and Customer Premise Equipment (CPE). Monitor network operations and
resolve moderately complex network monitoring problems. Access local systems to provide test results
to superiors for further analyses, Years of experience using different types of OTDR equipment locating
fiber optic faults on OSP networks, Troubleshoot and turn up building services offering a point of
presence. Can perform site surveys, fiber fault locating and oversee splicing of Metro/Long Haul
outside Plant fibers. Monitor routes and execute restoration in the event of a service interruption, pro-
actively responds to potential problem areas to ensure integrity of the network. Perform
preventive/scheduled maintenance and inspections on equipment and on the network infrastructure
including, but not limited to: HVAC systems, high voltage and low voltage electrical systems including
DC Power Plants.
Responsible for asset management to process deliveries and replenish consumables. Coordinate
shipping and receiving of materials. Operate and maintain tools, test sets, and electronic equipment
including, but not limited to Fiber optic transmission equipment, light-wave multiplexing equipment,
digital multiplexers, channel banks, circuit termination equipment, AC and DC power equipment, all
type of OTDR equipment to determine fault on strand and technical writing to report if any faults were
determined, various BER type test equipment. Provided technical assistance, coaching and mentoring
for Technicians to help complete work orders, trouble tickets, and maintenance tickets efficiently to
provide optimal metrics for On Time Performance (OTP), Mean Time to Respond/Restore (MTTR),
and maintenance activities.
