2. Numbers have life; they aren't just
symbols on paper
To strengthen children's problem solving and
cognitive skills, a foundational Mathematical
skill activity was conducted wherein
recapitulation of numbers 1-20 was done in a
fun filled way. The Concept of Small, Medium
and Large was explained to the students
through the famous story 'Goldilocks and the
Three Bears' . Students were asked to
compare the objects or things displayed in
the classroom and describe their sizes.

3. Modernites of class 6 performed
hands on activity to learn the
commutative and associative
properties of whole numbers
using playing cards. The
mysterious distributive property
was learnt by cutting square grid
paper .

Mathematics is to do Mathematics
A Perfect activity for the visual
learners, the area model effectively
illustrates what one fraction times
another fraction looks like. Students
of class 7 represented the product
of proper fractions by combining
the parts of fraction on origami
sheet .
ACTIVITY BASED LEARNING PROVIDES RICH AND VARIED EXPERIENCES TO
THE STUDENTS, THEREBY BUILDING THEIR KNOWLEDGE, BOOSTING
CREATIVITY SKILLS AND INCREASING COGNITIVE SKILLS.
In order to develop the understanding
of the operation on integers, students
played the card game with just deck of
cards wherein players took turns to turn
over a pair of cards with the aim of
finding a pair of cards that gives the
target number on adding or multiplying
the number on cards.

Students of class 8
developed
understanding of
function of
exponents through
paper folding
To enhance the
understanding of
rational numbers,
students of class 8
verified properties
