Daniel reflects on his previous project and grades received, identifying areas to improve for his future media production project. He did well with audience research and reflection previously. He wants to improve experiments and merits to achieve a distinction grade. His action plan includes researching the subject matter thoroughly, continuing strong reflection and audience research techniques, extensive experimentation, and generating more original content for a stronger production grade. He will evaluate his project more in-depth and survey audiences to gather feedback.
3. Breakdown of Units 9 & 10
What areas did I do well on?
I smashed the Audience Research
and Reflection in my factual project.
I was happy with this work even
before it got graded. The grade just
re-enforces my emotions of the
project. Based on my grades I think I
can shoot for a distinction.
What areas would I like to develop in the
FMP?
Well, the areas where I received a pass
obviously. I Know that I can improve
Experiments because I already have a plan
at this point of areas I want to expand my
skills in for this FMP. I want to also
improve the merit grades to boost my
chance at a distinction, this is done by
giving these areas more attention and
planning.
4. Action Plan
6.1 Daily Reflection
1.1 Research Theory &
Content
1.2 Pre-Proposal 1.2 Proposal
Continue from my last
factual project. Reflections
is one of the aspects I'm
best at.
Keeping my audience and
assessors on the same
page is a key area of work
for me. I need to make
sure that nobody is left
behind, in relation to the
subject I'm covering.
I must reference past
projects. I have a habit of
hard-lining projects apart,
instead of looking at my
developments from one
project to the next.
Changing this will help me.
Planning the evaluation as
early as the proposal can
aid the development of my
FMP.
5. Action Plan
2.1 Research Products 2.1 Research Audience
2.2, 3.1 & 3.2
Problem Solving
2.2 & 3.2 Experiments
One of the main areas of
improvements, is
researching the actual
subject and not just content
surrounding the subject.
Giving the assessor some
guidance about the subject
matter will be something I
need to include.
My audience research
was spot on from last
project. Including surveys
and audience interviews
will be transferred to my
FMP.
Preparing for the worst is
hard for me. I find it hard to
know what will go wrong
until it happens. Problem
solving and documenting is a
subject I will be investing
more time into for my FMP.
I often found myself lost
while in production
especially. To combat this,
I want to have extinctive
experimentation in many
if not all areas I'm
working in for this
project.
6. Action Plan
4.1 Pre-Production 5.1 Production
6.1 Production
Reflection
6.2 Evaluation
Gathering more of a
branded style is something I
missed out on with my
factual. During production I
was lost in the direction and
style. This time I'm planning
more thoroughly the style,
font, production Etc. so I can
create a more balanced final
product.
For my FMP I want to
generate much of my own
content. For my factual I
used gameplay footage
from the subject I was
covering. More original
content like Photos and
font created by myself will
be more effective for my
production grade.
Again, the reflection from
my last project was
effective. I want to carry
Over the reflection
techniques I used in my
factual over to my FMP.
The evaluation of my
project will be improved
via a more in-depth look
at why I choose certain
fonts, styles, and
techniques to get the
desired result. And also,
the effect on readers.
Considering an audience
survey of my production
to gather audience's
opinions of my work in
my .
Editor's Notes
Reference what you achieved marks you are happy (or happier) with. You may have got Passes throughout, but some areas you may feel you will have done better in even though they achieved the same grade- focus on these bits. For developments, reference any specific tasks you were disappointed in, or want to improve upon in the FMP.
Use the feedback provided to briefly summarise your plans to ensure you achieve your desired grade in each task.
