 Perform all clerical duties on the nursing unit
 Answer all phone calls.
 Assist in providing customer service and data entry for nursing to ensure a more sufficient
working environment as they provide hands-on patient care.
 Transcribe physician’s orders to ensure accurate medical care with the most recent, and
updated medical plan of care for each resident on the unit.
 Maintain an accurate account of transfers, discharged and expired patients.
 Schedule all appointments, including surgical procedures, for residents of the facility.
 Refer test results to respective nurses.
 Maintain current and accurate information in an organized chart containing insurance data,
rehabilitation statuses, nursing plans of care, nutritional plans of care, social service plans
of care, labs and prior consults.
 Order all health care supplies on unit for daily usage.
