Estate Manager at Peel Court Assisted Living Development situated in Welwyn Garden City
I have registration with CQC as we are a registered Domicillary Care provider. I have overall
responsibility for the Homeowners safety and welfare, staffing and budgets.
We provide a small level of care hours as all the care is provided within the development not
in the community – we average about 50 hours per week, but I have responsibility in
ensuring the care is meeting the required standards, care planning, training of staff and
overall Health and Safety of the development.
I have opened a development from new and overseen the recruitment of a whole new staff
team and ensured the induction and ongoing support to them has been effective. I have also
been involved in other new developments inductions and supporting the staff team and
Homeowners on their new start in life.

Home Manager at Burleys Wood Care Home with nursing, situated in Crawley West
Sussex.
I have overall responsibility for the Residents’ safety and welfare, staffing and budgets. I also
ensure quality of care delivered by regularly auditing processes of work, oversee training
requirements and Health and Safety management. I also work with an ethos of continuous
improvement, liaising with families and visiting professionals to build confidence and gain
feedback.

Home Manager at Tiltwood Residential Care Home, situated in Cobham Surrey.
I was responsible for the safe and efficient running of a 50-bedded Care Home, ensuring the
smooth day-to-day operation of the service and the safety and welfare of residents. This
included building strong relationships with relatives and professionals.
April 2004 – July 2007
Specialist Support and Care Advisor within the Care UK’s Care Advisory Support Team.
Within this team, I worked alongside managers, administrators, nurses and care support
staff.
My Job description was very varied and I worked in many different Care settings
implementing and introducing systems of work within individual services.
My role included:
- Auditing – medication, care documentation, staff personnel files
- Working closely with all staff in existing Homes to improve standards and implement
new systems which benefit the Residents and Staff
- Implementing new and existing Company Policies and Procedures
- Working alongside the Care UK Projects Team assisting with the processes of closing
existing Homes and the opening of new Homes. This included the transfers of
Residents and Staff, training and giving support and guidance to Residents and
Relatives.
- Interviewing perspective Staff members
- Risk Assessing within the Care environment and Service Users own Home (Home
Care)
- Working with and managing teams and individuals
- Staff Supervisions

Care UK - Team Leader
The Burroughs Residential Home, West Drayton, Middlesex
As a Team Leader, my duties were to manager a floor, working alongside staff to ensure
necessary duties are carried out in the care and support of Residents. This included,
the organisation of the staff, administering, booking in and ordering of medication,
assisting the G.P with his rounds and management of night shift and staff.

As a care assistant, my duties were attending to the residents’ personal needs, both
physically and mentally. I managed one of the six units within the home and was key
