1. Thursday:
A- There are 20 students, 11 boys and 9 girls.
S- Today, my students will use second life to explore the possibilities of the rainforest in the virtual
world. I will teach them how to use the tool. They will create an avatar and explore the rainforest
with 100% accuracy.
S- Today, the class will go around to each other and look at what they have come up with. Later,
they will meet with the group to understand what they have learned.
U- After finishing up the second life activity, I will go over how they felt about it and ask what they
have learned. They will have the opportunity to share their avatar.
R- While going around the class, I can see what they are doing on there. It’ll be school safe and they
will be restricted on what they can be on. This will let me see what they are retaining and see their
creative side.
E- The students will have to have made their avatar. I will assess them by seeing how creative they
were and ask if they have actually learned where the animals have come from.
