• Explore the characteristics of each file format
• Choose proper file format to where it is going to be used.
4. COMMON FILE FORMATS
• PSD (photoshop data file) – the default file format in photoshop,
which contains the layers and effect information still intact in the file.
5. COMMON FILE FORMATS
• JPEG (join photographic experts group) –compressed image data,
common image format produced by digital cameras and makes up
most of the pictures you see in the internet.
6. COMMON FILE FORMATS
• PNG (Portable network graphic) – raster-graphics file format that
supports lossless data compression. Single layer image often contains
transparent data

raster, vector and layered information. if you open PDF in photoshop
if will be a single layered file just like Jpeg.
