Glazed BIW:Projects handled- Kite4/5, Indica, Zest, Q5, Raptor: BIW level FE modeling in hypermesh with
the collaboration of Design & NVH testing team. Modal analysis, FRF in Nastran. Preparing Modal charts,
Graphs of Dynamic Stiffness &Mobility at attachment points, NVH modifications are done to meet stiffness
target at hard points by collaborating with Durability, Crash & Design team.
Exhaust System:Developed process of Optimization of Hanger location & Reduction on the basis of root
mean square values of modal response. Worked on 31 Exhaust Systems - Preparing FE model in hypermesh,
Modal analysis to find flexible modes & Node locations to meet the NVH Target.
Steering System:Developed Modeling capability of EPAS Steering column, Rack & Pinion assemblies by
studying physical model and incorporating design details line connection & weight in FE model
corresponding to physical model. The Corresponding results are validated with Test Results. Mechanism
developed with MPC for Steering Column & Rack. Worked on 27 steering Systems- prepared FE model at
Wheel Level, Column Level & CCB Level in hypermesh. Modal analysis & FRF analysis in Nastran,
Modifications are suggested to meet Vertical & Lateral bending mode target at each Level.
Suspension system: FE modeling of both Front & Rear Suspension in hypermesh, Modal analysis at system
level for hoop & tramp mode & component level, all Bush stiffness from design drawing applied at all
attachment points like LCA Front, LCA Rear with CBUSH. Worked on 11 Suspension systems.
Other Aggregates: Prepared FE model for aggregates like Gear shift Lever, Subframe, Rear Axle, HVAC,
Seats,Radiator etc. Worked on Gear shift Lever for reducing vibration at knob location. Topology on solid
subframe carried out for reducing response at C mount. Modal performance evaluation of Rear Axle &
improvement for first vertical & Rear bending mode, Strength & Durability for Closures like Bonnet
Integrated Cost reduction activity: Achieved 12.55 kg of weight reduction in all over aggregates & 65.45 kg
of weight reduction proposal in Glazed BIW Level by keeping NVH target as the production design in
collaboration with Durability, Crash & Design department. Thickness Optimization using Sol200, Shape
optimizations are done to reduce weight.
Variation in NVH behavior of Indica Vista because of manufacturing variability
NVH test performed on 20 Vehicles for 3GWOT, 3G40, 3G80, Idle & Radiator On using Squadriga
