BIW parts, chassis, powertrain and connections preparation.
Software Used: Hypermesh 12,13 ,Nastran, Abaqus 6.9
2. Project 1: Modal and Frequency response (DPM and Bendtwist run) analysis of chassis.
Responsibility:
FE modeling and connection preparation of chassis.
Simulation is carried out from NVH perspective, purpose of this simulation is to identify weak hard
point, bracket in terms of dynamic mobility, dynamic stiffness and stiffness ratio point of view.
Bendtwist analysis carried out to identify torsional mode of Frame.
Report preparation.
Project 2: Modal and Frequency response ( NTF, VTF and Grid participation factor (GPF) Run) analysis
of truck cabin.
Responsibility:
Structural and cavity mesh preparation of cabin model.
To find out vibrations at steering point and noise level at driver and co-driver air locations by
applying unit load at cabin mounting bracket.
GPF analysis carried out to identify exact contribution of panels for noise at driver and Co-driver
air location.
Report preparation.
Project 3: Modal and Direct frequency response analysis of rear fender.
Responsibility:
To check the modes in X, Y and Z direction and calculate the stresses on bracket at particular
frequencies as per customer standards.
Report preparation.
Project 4: Preparation of DMIG (Superelement) model of engine and load body.
Responsibility:
DMIG ( Direct matrix input generator) model of engine and load body is used to reduce number of
nodes and analysis time required during full vehicle analysis. Compared the results of modal and
FRA between DMIG and original bulk data.
Report preparation.
Project 5: IDT and Service load analysis of Axle.
Responsibility:
Analysis carried out after applying unit load for IDT and SLA load to find out stresses included in
axle.
Report preparation.
Project 6: Modal and Direct frequency response analysis of exhaust assembly.
Responsibility:
To check the modes in X, Y and Z direction and calculate the stresses on exhaust mounting
bracket at particular frequencies as per customer standards.
Report preparation.
Project 7: Foot step analysis
Responsibility:
Appling foot load on foot step to calculate the displacement and stresses developed on its bracket
and mountings.
Report preparation.
3. Project 8: Steering arm and tie rod arm analysis
Responsibility:
Applying load at ball joint of steering and tie rod arm and find out stresses on it.
Also applying the pretention load and calculate stresses on it.
Report preparation.
Project 9: Static and flexion test of front bumper.
Responsibility:
Analysis carried out after applying flexion load and foot load to find out the stresses on brackets.
Report preparation.
Project 10: Static analysis of Gear shifting lever bracket and iterations for weight reduction.
Responsibility:
Analysis carried out after applying force on gear shifting lever and stresses calculated because of
reaction force at fulcrum.
Report preparation.
