Company Profile:
 ONGC Petro additions Limited (OPaL), a multi billion joint venture company was incorporated in
2006, as a Public Limited Company under the companies Act, 1956, promoted by Oil and Natural Gas
Corporation (ONGC) and co-promoted by GAIL and GSPC.
 OPaL is setting up a grass root mega Petrochemical project at Dahej, Gujarat in PCPIR/SEZ.
 The complex's main Dual Feed Cracker Unit has the capacity to produce 1100 KTPA Ethylene, 400
KTPA Propylene and the Associated Units consists of Pyrolysis Gasoline Hydrogenation Unit
(PGHU), Butadiene Extraction Unit (BdEU) and Benzene Extraction Unit (BzEU).
 The Polymer plants of OPaL has 2X360 KTPA of LLDPE/HDPE Swing unit, 1X340 KTPA of
Dedicated HDPE and 1x340 KTPA of PP.
 The Company has also Captive Power Plant of 205 MW capacity and with all Integrated Utilities and
Offsite Storage facilities.
Project Experience:
 Erection of Ethylene Vaporizers, Ethylene Feed Pumps, In-tank Pumps, Boil Off Gas Compressors in
Double Walled Storage Tanks (Cryogenic Ethylene Storage).
 Welding and Inspection of Piping activities going on at DWST.
 Erection and Installation activities of Gas Turbines (4x36.05 MW- BHEL make), Generators
(BHEL make), HRSGs (4x110 TPH), Utilities Boilers (2x220 TPH), and Steam Turbines (2 x 30
MW-Frame 6, BHEL make).
 FD Fan, GR Fan, Air Pre-Heater, Boiler Feed Pump (BFP) for UB and HRSG with Turbine and
Motor driven with Lube oil Skids, MUH Transfer pumps, Naphtha and HSD Forwarding skid for
UBs, GTs and HRSGs, Atomizing air compressors for GTs, HRSG Blowers, Water Injection skid,
Boiler drum, VHP, HP, MP, LP steam Header with PRDS, 8.3 MW HT DG+2.7 MW LT DG set
(Make: Wartsila) Erection and its Check list preparation and checking.
 Scrap disposal Procedure, Gate pass approval for Materials IN and OUT of SEZ.
 Alignment of Compressors, Gas turbine-Generator, Cooling Tower Pumps (Make: Mather & Plate),
and Cooling water Fan Motors (Make: Airotech), Fire Water pumps.
 Installation work for Static Equipments like Heat Exchangers, Vessels, Condenser etc.

2.  Activities like Hydro testing, loop testing, Nitrogen purging in Storage Tanks etc.
 Responsible for the Mechanical Integrity Checking of Static as well as Rotating Equipments.
 Mechanical Formats checking of DWST, HDPE/LLDPE swing unit, Butene-1, and PP unit.
 Reviewing Drawings -PFD & P&ID of Utilities and Offisite Plants.
 Reviewing the Construction Invoices (RA bills) and certify them.
 Reviewing and Studying SAP procedure for Plant maintenance Module.
 Involved in Mechanical and Structural punching/check listing in HDPE plant for Mechanical
Completion (MC). Also punching for DWST.
 Plant Hazop study, HSE and HIRA (Hazards Identification and Risk Assessment) training.
Operation/ Commissioning Experience:
 Cooling Tower pumps Trail run, Pumps running in Load, Raw water, Fire Water pumps
running in load.
 Cooling Tower Cell basin, Cold water channel, Supply and Return line Flushing.
 Power plant Emergency and Main cooling water line Flushing (ISBL/ OSBL), IAPA
plant cooling water line connecting to Air compressors and Cold box Flushing (ISBL/
OSBL), Cardboard-blasting of pipelines, Butene-1 Main and Emergency CW line Flushing.
 Low pH (as per EIL standards) acid cleaning in cooling water line network in U&O plants.
 Static as well as Rotating Equipment Database, Spare list, Lubrication Schedule preparation.
 FD fan, Reciprocating compressor (IR) start-up, Boiler Light-up and EDTA cleaning.
 Low pH cleaning and Passivation in cooling tower.
 Steam Blowing with 40 kg/cm2 pressure.
