Performance and Emission Characteristics of Variable Compression Ratio Di-Ci Engine with
Non-edible Palm Stearin Methyl Ester
Performance and Emission characteristics of VCR diesel engine fueled with palm stearin
biodiesel blends is investigated at different loads and compression ratios and the results
are compared with the standard base line data obtained from diesel fuel.
The results show that the properties hence obtained i.e. BTE, BSFC and EGE are
dependent on biodiesel blends, loads and compression ratios and hence some
conclusions are made
2. Study Overview of Kothagudem Thermal Power Station, Turbine
Maintenance (O&M) C - Station 2×120 MW.
Modified Rankine Cycle on which the Thermal Power Plant works was studied
Working of various components namely Boiler, HP Turbine, IP Turbine, LP Turbine,
Condenser, Boiler Feed Pump, Condensate Extraction Pump, HP Heater, LP Heater,
Cooling Water Pump, Cooling Tower, ID fan, FD fan, Evaporator, Economizer, Super
Heater, Reheater, Deaerator, Chimney etc., was studied.
Ways to increase the efficiency of Thermal Power Plant was analysed.
