2. Location
Because the ideas for my magazine are very eye-
catching and ‘avant garde’ like and because this is a
fashion magazine, I want the focus to be on the model
and the clothing she’s wearing. Therefore i want my
locations to be simple, allowing the model to stand
out.
One of my models is going to represent the deadly sin
of ‘Lust’. For this, she’s going to be dressed in red lace
and i want her to really stand out. Using a bed with
white sheets would allow this to appen. It would also
be perfect for a full body shot, showcasing the
clothing.
My other model is going to represent the deadly sin of
‘Greed’ and is going to be painted in gold, covered in
jewels and surrounded by money - therefore i’ve
decided to go with a simple and plain white
background so the focus is yet again on the model
rather than a eccentric and distracting background.
3. Models For my models i’ve decided on using two females
rather than a male and female. Because our models
have to be from to different social groups, one of them
is white british and the other is from a Jamaican
bloodline and is half Jamaican herself.
I am a strong advocate for equality in the industry,
whether it’s for women’s rights, LGBTQ+ rights, or
equality for those of a different race, ethnicity,
nationality.
By using two girls from drastically different ethnicities,
it will make my beliefs of equality clear on my
magazine covers.
5. House Style Red, gold and white are going to be my main colours.
These colours are often used to represent glitz and
glamour, and are often used on high end magazines.
Using red as a main colour will stand out compared to
others and on shelves in shops, and the white will
contrast making it extremely statement and staple.
I will also use black because that is a generic font
colour on a lot of magazines - making it a similar to
other magazines on the market.
