Planning for magazine name

2. I was considering the name Vigorous which means ‘done
with great force and energy’. Stereotypically Rock
magazine is all about power and energy therefore, I found
this name suitable for my magazine project.
I found this font similar to fonts in horror movies which
more or less send the same message. The font is simple
however, the removed paint suggest danger and power
but most of the time is also connoted with blood.

3. The name Metallica is one of my options for my Rock music
magazine and this is because it represents the genre of magazine
successfully but also its associated with globally well known British
band called: “Metallica”.
The ruff corners look hard-core and therefore, they symbolise a
extreme behaviour which is what readers are looking for in a Rock
music magazine a little bit of adrenaline. Moreover, the font looks
mysterious and quite dark which is also associated with the font in
‘Daily Mail’ newspaper which is there to inform people about ‘bad
news’ and my magazine aim is to inform the audience about the
extreme celebrates.

4. The name Sweet Emotion remained me of female hood, as
stereotypically woman are meant to be sweet and innocent which
links with the idea that my Rock music magazine is aimed
specially at female. To me emotion suggest the feeling inside and
in this case its meaning is music and how the Rock makes people
feel most of the time it’s all about escapism and I wanted to
present this through my magazine title.
This font again remains me of blood which again represents my
genre of music magazine and this is something that you would
not find in Pop magazine. The font is associated with violence
and sin which is stereotypically how society viewed people that
listen to Rock (still happens today) due to the religious aspects.

5. I really liked the name ‘Sweet Emotion’ however, it is too long for a magazine and
therefore I decided to create a long instead for it to be more eye catchy and
memorable for audience.
The font. Is simple yet it stand outs, it looks little formal however, not too formal which
is something that readers look in magazine. Mostly, how my magazine is aimed at
female.

7. I done a survey of 29 people to
check which font I should use for
my Rock music magazine. In
order for survey not be bias, I
asked people of different age
groups, female and male for
their part in the survey. I do
believe this was a good idea as
now I know what people are
looking for in the magazine and
that I can make it attractable for
rage of audience which should
create a sense of false need to
some and make them buy my
product.
