skills develop throughout
this project?
2. Blogger
One of the first bits of production development was the use of blogger.
Blogger was used for
• Uploading research we had done for our magazines
• Drafts of our magazines
• And for uploading our Critical reflection questions
I had never used blogger before so it was a new experience for me and one of the key
things that I have learned from using it is how to embed a video into my blog.
3. Blogger
This a screen shot from my blog showing where I would embed my video for
example, to be able to get this only my blog I would need the embed code and
this was easy to find all you had to do was go to the share icon on a video and
find the text where it says embed code.
4. Indesign
A second production development was the use of Indesign
Indesign was used for
• Creating and using the magazine size
• Putting the magazine on there and editing it
• Uploading the pictures I have taken
5. Indesign
Indesign was the software that I used to be able to create my magazine. They had a
great range of features that I was able to use for my magazine. As I had never used
indesign before it was easy enough to go on the internet and look up what I’m
asking for and even get a video showing how to do so.
One of my favourite features was the framing tool as it gave me the opportunity to
add a picture in that I had taken a put it in an abnormal frame like a pentagon
This gave me the ability to change and choose the way I would like my frame to look
like.
6. Research skills
Research was a massive part in the production of my magazine as I had to
have a look at what Football magazines looked like so that when they sore
my magazine they would instantly recognise that as a football magazine.
• Using the web
• Looking at other magazines
• Taking note of what I would like in my magazine from a different
magazine
• Looking at the style of magazine I was working on to see the codes and
conventions used or not used
• Seeing if any magazines have challenged conventions
7. Planning skills
Planning was one of the most important things that needed to be done
for this project to go successfully.
What I needed to plan
• Photo shoot
• Getting clothes
• Arranging time to do a shoot and have the camera
• Co-ordinating a time with my model to complete the photo shoot
