2. INTRODUCTION
In Odoo, we have different sets of views that help to specify how the data is depicted to the
user. Moreover, among these, Calendar view which provides the users with a well-sorted
timeline/schedule information of data in three different formats of the calendar such as Day,
Week, Months.
In this slide, we will discuss how to create calendar views and edit date details in your records.

3. ❖ Here Let’s discuss with our custom module ‘travel_management’. Here we got default list
view. Now, we have to set the calendar view inside this model. So let’s create a record inside
the ‘xml’ file in the custom module.

4. ❖ Here, let’s providing the name ‘travel.calendar’ and the model ‘travel.travel’.

5. ❖ In this record we set the priority eval ‘2’. That is, the view type will be listed as second one
after tree view.

6. ❖ Inside the calendar tag we must enclose the fields inside the calendar view , and we can give
the name for the calendar inside the string tag.

7. ❖ Then, the ‘date_start’ is a mandatory field, and ‘mode=”month”’, This means the current
default mode will be month so as change or click on the next it will be iterated over each
month.

8. ❖ Then the ‘date_deadline’ must available in the model ‘travel.travel’

9. ❖ After Upgrading the module, Let’s check the calendar view in the module.
