oil and gas exploration, refining, and large petrochemical plants. I have been a Project
Manager or Construction Director for more than 25 years with roles in corporate head office
positions, overseas and UK construction positions.
I am unusually highly qualified being a Chartered Engineer and a full member of both the
Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. I also have an
Honours Degree obtained from a UK university.
I have managed projects in the UK, Holland, Ireland, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Indonesia
Kuwait, Spain, Egypt, Qatar, and Singapore. I have exposure to work in Australia, Papua
New Guinea, Russia, Abu Dhabi, Morocco, Norway, Belgium, Kazakhstan and Nigeria. All
of the projects under my control have been completed on schedule with an excellent safety
record and no fatalities. I have consistently gained the confidence of both my clients and
subcontractors.
Home office roles have included Manager of Global Construction, Project Manager and
Construction Proposals Manager. Overseas roles have been as Project Manager or
Construction Director for projects up to $1.5 billion.
Because of my head office experience I am particularly adept at developing construction
strategies or documents,. My strengths in the field are Managing and leading teams,
problem solving and interfacing with clients to ensure successful projects in every respect.
My preference for the future is an overseas position with a good leave cycle. I am not
actively seeking a new position but may be interested in a new offer if the job is challenging
and the terms and conditions are good, I plan to continue my working career until at least
2020 before retirement..
