CAREER OVERVIEW
Throughout my career I have worked predominantly in the construction industry and
specifically in the concrete sector.
I have hands on experience at ground level, supervisory and management levels within
all aspects of the construction industry.
Successfully owned and managed my own concrete company, employing 150 employees,
giving me invaluable experience in the business sector
I have been employed in superintendent roles within the concrete, formwork and steel
fixing and structural steel areas, managing up to 250 trade employees. As well as liaising
with clients, sub-contractors, engineers and council and government regulators.
Responsibilities have been widely varied and have provided me with many valuable skills
and a broad understanding of all facets of the construction industry.
Within my 33 years in the Construction industry I have worked and supervised works
including, Residential, Industrial, Commercial, Airports & Runways, Wharfs & Marine
Facilities, Water & Sewage Facilities and Treatment Plants, Bridges, Construction of
Camps & Fly Camp and Facilities, Ball Mills on Mine Sites, New Coal Mines, Tunnels & Fly
over Bridges /Overpasses, LNG Gas Plants. Ranging in Value from $100,000 to and above
$ 1 Billion dollars.

I was employed as Site Manager for this build, we had 50,000 sqm of Fibre Concrete inside, and
60,000 sqm of Fibre Concrete outside. All with a Zero tolerance level.
My daily routine consisted of Construction meetings with the Builder and the Client, Planning and
Executions meetings with the Builder, my Engineer and my team of Supervision. Measuring and
ordering of all Materials and Equipment for Site, Labour take-offs and Control. Inspections with the
Builder and Client, Quality take off’s and Control, ITP’s and RFI’s, and Sign off’s for works
Complete.

QCLNG Curtis Island
After completion of the concrete package on the Containment Vessels, I was asked to take the lead
Superintendent for the Structural Steel for ISBL Trains 1 & 2 also OSBL. Here I had about 200
people under me including Supervision, Leading hands, Steel riggers, Crane operators & riggers,
Boiler makers, Labourers & T/As. Again working in conjunction with Surveyors, Engineers,
Procurement, Project controls, Planners, ES&H, QA, Workforce services, Boral Concrete, Testers,
Senior Management, and the Client on a daily basis. ISBL Trains 1 & 2 had 5,400 Ton erected and
OSBL had 1,800 Ton of erected steel. Then I had all the boiler making work done as well.
The Day – Supervision, Constructing 12 week Look a head & planning meetings, Quantity
reporting and QURR meetings, Problem solving with Engineers & Surveyors, Tool Box & ES&H
presentations, Upward feedback meetings with Senior Management, Prestart meetings with
Supervision and Craft, Closeout & planning meetings with Supervision & Engineers.

QCLNG Curtis Island Tanks
I was transferred from BSO@ Moranbah to QCLNG at Curtis Island, for the role of Civil/Structural
Superintendent of the Concrete package for the two Containment Vessels both 80m in diameter for
the LNG Gas Plant. I had approximately 250 people under me including Supervision, Leading
Hands, Concreters, Form workers, Steel fixers, Crane Operators, Dogman/Riggers and Labourers.
As well working in conjunction with Surveyors, Engineers, Procurement, Project Controls, Planners,
ES&H, QA, Workforce Services, Senior Management, and the Client on a daily basis. The Concrete
Package for the Vessels was approximately $140 Mill in value.
The Day – Supervision, Constructing 12 week Look a head & planning meetings, Quantity
reporting and QURR meetings, Problem solving with Engineers & Surveyors, Tool Box & ES&H
presentations, Upward feedback meetings with Senior Management, Pre-start meetings with

I was appointed as a Concrete Structures Superintendent to supervise all associated
concrete works across the site, undertaken by our Contractors.
Five months after my appointment, I was promoted to Area Concrete Superintendent,
taking control of Hutchinson Builders on the MIA as well as all concrete works across site.

with a 60 m Concrete arch above the Tunnel. Also 2 Fly over Bridges. Covering
everything from 3 week lookaheads to onsite planning meetings with Foreman and

Initially I was employed as Crew Supervisor for a large team of concreters. This position
included leading and managing through planning, construction and maintenance.
After a short period I was then promoted to Construction/Site Superintendent. As a
visible ambassador for S&N, this challenging role has allowed me to utilise my
