Objective:

My work experience is varied and wide spread. I work very well with people and possess
the relevant mentorship skills required to develop a team of young and enthusiastic

Career Goal:

Roles and responsibilities:
 Nominated person for the company to attend all the Steering committee meetings with all
EPC Contractors and Clients once a month. In countries like Italy, Amsterdam ,Korea
etc. as needed and requested by clients.
 To ensure effective planning between HR Department, Plant Department and
Procurement Department to ensure that we meet the Project Resource Requirements in a
timely manner. This will include, but not be limited to, Manpower, Plant & Equipment.
 Direct link between project managers and our clients on all construction and design
issues.
 Directly involved during the entire engineering process to review and comment on design
to cost savings and construction methods etc .
 Touring all projects sites with the Corporate Contracts manager to guide and implement
contract requirements.
 Reviews and comments on scope of work as prepared by other Departments or
Consultants.

Project: Borouge 3 Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) Value $400 million
Period: January 2010 to February 2012
Roles and Responsibilities:
 Overseeing all aspects of the construction of the LDPE Plant and Facilities package
350,000 ton/year; the first of its type in the UAE.
 Included within the package was: construction of pre-compression of ethylene,
compression to reaction conditions, polymerization reaction, polymer/gas separation,
recycling of untreated gases, extrusion, pelletizing, de-gassing, storage and packing
equipment, and associated facilities.
 The main equipment within the package consisted of Primary and Secondary Compressor
and Reactor Systems with an operating pressure of up to 2700bar.
 Monitored and controlled all the sub-vendors supplying the equipment.

Position: Senior Construction Manager
Project: Satorp Green Fields Naphtha Units ARAMCO

The project is a full conversion refinery, designed to process heavy local crude and produce
high value white product. The refinery will be arranged in two identical trains.
Roles and Responsibilities:
 Whilst controlling and coordinating EPCM/multi-discipline team contractors and client
liaison duties include.
 Utilizing detailed knowledge of planning cost estimation & control, safety risk
management, procurement & contracting strategy, commissioning, resource planning
and project administration.
 Managing piping, mechanical, civil, electrical. Instrumentation and specialist term
contractors and vendors.
 Prioritizing and delivering efficiency in response to changing demands, even when things
are unclear, uncertain or with complex tasks and situations:
 Visiting all fabrication yards of the sub-contractors for approval etc.
Company: Tecnicas Reunidas (EPC)
Position: Senior Construction Manager
Project: Borouge 2 Off-site and Utilities Polyethylene Project
Period: 21months
Roles and Responsibilities:
 Supervises a high performance team from the various operational and functional areas
like construction, pipe coating, pipeline installation as well as HSE, quality assurance
and control, contract administration, planning and progress control, maintenance and
materials.
 Spending some time in the fabrication shops to make sure we had everything in place etc.
 Assign and controls all necessary resources for project executions like personnel,
equipment, materials and documentation.
 Close co-operation and liaison with Borouge in the implementation of Borouge
procedures on the project.
 Fostering and promoting a positive working environment and attitude that reflects the
Project Mission, Borouge and Client values.
 Developing and communicating overall Construction Strategy in Conjunction with
Project management Leadership of overall Construction effort and instigation of
Construction Team.
 Oversight and Management of all Construction, Vendor Assistance and Service
 Contracts on the Project in accordance with relevant contracts laws, plans and procedures
 Development of Construction Schedule/Program in accordance with overall Project
Management plans.
 Attendance at Design/Safety Reviews for Constructability and Safety input to
Engineering and Scope Development Input and review of weekly (internal) and monthly
Construction reports with Project Controls Review the Construction Status weekly with
Client Construction Manager, and maintain communications and relationship throughout
the project.

communication of construction issues with project management for purposes of risk

Position: Opperations and Fabrication Yard Manager

Roles and Responsibilities:
 Setting up and manage a new Fabrication Yard (workshop) in Angola for Oil and Gas
Projects.
 Responsible for all work done by contractors to ensure the completion of the workshop
and offices in time.
 In charge of getting the Pride off-shore accommodation barge seaworthy.
 Undertaking process for initiating and controlling all the logistics and expediting for
equipment needed to start up a fabrication workshop.
 Preparing all the procedures and training programs.
 Providing full support service to the off-shore rigs.
 Manufacturing NGL skids, Refrigeration skids etc.
 Manufacture all jackets, FPSO and platforms for off-shore.
 Did all the Pre-fabrication of piping and installation on the Nemba rigs off-shore.
 Estimated and created budgets for construction projects.
 Managed third party contractors including safety oversight, environmental design
specification compliance, and similar construction specifications and requirements.
 Interfaced and communicated with client regarding project status and coordinated as
required to resolve issues with fabrication yard, site construction, procurement, and/or
engineering.
 Reviewed engineering designs, drawings, blueprints, and other related engineering
documents to identify potential problems ahead of time and proactively implement
solutions.
Company: DRA Kathu Green Fields Iron Ore Mine South Africa (PMC)
Position: Construction Manager
Period: 16 months
Roles and Responsibilities:
 Responsible for all construction management aspects for a new R 4 Billion, Greenfields,
10 Million tons per annum, iron ore mine, including Contractor management, and direct
EPCM staff management of over 100 staff. Duties include management of construction,
handover, cold commissioning & coordination for all related hot commissioning
activities.

 Directly managed the infrastructure for a new bridge and railway system for the loading
of the product.
Company: Technip Secunda Polypropylene Plant
Position: Area Construction Manager
Period: 19 months
Roles and Responsibilities:
 Done all the constructability reviews for my area of responsibilities. Liaising with all
discipline Superintendents, Contractors and Clients to ensure overall construction
activities, deficiencies and associated handover documentation.
 Took corrective action as needed during projects and/or consulted with construction
project manager to resolve issues arising during projects.
 Oversaw subcontractors and vendors/suppliers performing work on the project.
 Prepared site inspection/oversight reports documenting the progress to date.
 Scheduled inspections.
 Coordinated proposed changes in design with consultants and project manager while
maintaining schedule and budget.
 Reviewed, recommended and approved all construction change requests, on-site change
orders and pay requests.
Company: Fluor South Africa SCC IBL Turbo Project

Roles and Responsibilities:
 Responsible for all aspects of Field Engineering for the Hot Section of the Selective
Catalytic Cracker Project IBl portion on the hot side. Project Value R 3.5 Billion,
including craft direction and supervision as required completing critical work aspects and
management of specialist bolt up Sub Contractor.
 Spend first 11 months of the project in the fabrication yard. Then moved to site.
