AREAS OF EXPERTISE
LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT
Developed policies; identified requirements, priorities and allocations of resources for logistics support to Marine Corps un its
operating in South America and the Caribbean.
Senior department manager responsible for all logistics internal to the organization, transportation,embarkation, ammunition,
armory, billeting, food, facilities, safety, hazardous material program, embarkation and life-support for 550 personnel.
Initiated and maintained relationships with multiple external agencies while planning, coordinating and executing logistics
support for a 550 employee organization deploying to Afghanistan.
Assessed,designed,coordinated and executed solutions to complex logistics support deficiencies faced while deployed.
Designed and implemented improved workplace safety measures, security/protection plans,and evacuation procedures.
Supervised the work of ten department managers and led logistics teams of up to 90 logistics and maintenance specialists.
OPERATIONS / PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Led a team of all department managers in planning, coordinating, executing, controlling and evaluating current and future
objectives, training and logistics for the unit's deployment training program, its deployment and its return from Afghanistan.
Analyzed mission assignments; evaluated direct support logistics capabilities; developed courses of action, operations orders,
and letters of instruction for training; directed and supervised both overall operations and five subordinate managers'
execution of policies and plans.
Developed an effective strategy,led all planning, coordinated with external agencies, and supervised execution for the
complete withdrawal of the organization from Afghanistan: 550 personnel,3000 items of transportation equipment, sensitive
intelligence and communication equipment, transfer and disposalof 600,000 rounds of ammunition, transportation of900+
weapons to the United States, sanitization of classified materials from facilities and closure of all accounts.
Identified, researched and resolved complex, highly sensitive matters as a key advisor to the Commanding General (CEO).
Developed and executed detailed plans for more than 50 visits by military, civilian and political dignitaries from the US and
abroad. Coordinated a wide range of functions for each visit including transportation,accommodations, meals,
entertainment, gifts and media coverage.
TRANSPORTATION / DISTRIBUTION MANAGEMENT
Directly responsible for the scheduling,route planning, asset allocation, personnel management, vehicle maintenance, on-
time deliveries, and accountability of approx. 200 motor transportation assets worth over$25 million, and supervised teams
of 90 drivers and 80 mechanics.
Primary consultant on all issues pertaining to motor transportation,transportation support capabilities, routes and asset
allocation, maintenance readiness, and transportation safety.
2. Orchestrated all internal and external transport support of personnel,equipment and supplies for the both the organization and
five customer organizations in Iraq.
FISCAL / BUDGET MANAGEMENT
Directly accountable for the phased spending plan and execution for the organization's yearly budget of over $610,000 with a
99% monthly obligation rate.
Developed tracking procedures,prepared regular reports, conducted monthly inspections of accounts and held meetings with
the Commanding Officer (CEO) regarding the phased spending plan and its execution.
Analyzed the organization's fiscal objectives, identified fiscal priorities, assessed the budget execution regularly, and
coordinated with the Comptroller for additional funds as needed for emergent requirements.
Researched, coordinated with the communications department and contracting office, developed technical and operational
details, prepared a Statement of Work, developed the contract,assessed vendors and purchased a one million dollar weather-
resistant sound systemfor the firing ranges at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC resulting in the ability to use the
firing range in all weather conditions,eliminating backlog and lost work-days, and increasing the throughput of the ranges.
Identified, developed and submitted seven approved unfunded deficiency items (UPIs) for the organization resulting in an
additional $197,800 in funding authorizations for mission-essential items.
CUSTOMER SERVICE / SALES
Personally responsible for overseeing the adherence to proper procedures governing the affairs of the Commanding General
and Marine Corps' customs,traditions and ceremonies aboard a high-visibility military installation; responsible for the full
spectrumof customer service for distinguished visitors.
Served as manager for the Distinguished Visitors' Quarters for the Commanding General, responsible for the complete
service and satisfaction of all distinguished guests to include foreign and political dignitaries, general officers, Senior
Executive Service, and members of Congress.
Deliberately sought,cultivated and maintained mutually beneficial working relationships with all departments within the
organization, with customers, and with adjacent transportation and logistics organizations, increasing sales across the board.
Resolved service problems by identifying the cause of the problem, determining and explaining the best solution, expediting
