 Our short film called 7 Minutes is created using a low budget and is an
independent film. An independent and short film distributor would be the
most suited to distribute our film because they distribute lots of low budget
films and help gain focus on gaining audiences to these types of films.
 Our film holds an unusual style which doesn't appeal a wide demographic. A
mainstream film distributor would probably reject our film due to this style
and the idea that it is not going to attract a large audience. However an
independent distributor would be ideal to promote and grow the popularity of
our film as many people watch films from an independent distributor for a
different style and genre.

 Future Shorts is a distributor of short and low budget films based in London and helps
them grow an audience through its services.
 It is one of the worlds leading film distributors with a huge amount of experience and a
large catalogue of award winning short films.
 Future Shorts distributes films with an unusual genre, totally different to mainstream
films. This distributor will be a good choice for our film due to our genre being unusual
and different to a mainstream film.
 Future Shorts mainly distributes independent films with a low budget to give them a
platform to grow an audience. This would help our film as it is created on a low budget
and doesn’t hold a current audience.
 This short film distributor also organises a monthly film festival called ‘Future Shorts
One’ which showcases the best new films to attract audiences to independent films. This
would help our film as more people will be able to see it through festival screenings.
 The Future Shorts Audience Award allows audiences to vote on their favourite film of the
season, allowing films to gain critical acclaim, allowing them to become more popular.

 Shorts International is the one of the worlds leading short film distributors,
bringing a wide range of short films to audiences in the United States,
Europe, and Asia. This production company would be helpful for our film
because it could be distributed to multiple continents and viewed by a large
number of people to increase its popularity.
 Shorts International distributes its films and allows them to be viewed in some
cinemas, cable and satellite television and online. The distribution onto
multiple platforms increases the viewing of the short films it distributes,
ultimately increasing the audience of the films.

Conclusion
If our film was distributed by one of these two distributors, it would benefit our
film by allowing a wider audience to view our film and enjoy it, as well as making
people aware of the unusual style of a low budget, independent film.
