1. Location Photos
We used various locations in our film to link to the vulnerability of the
characters and to also link to the genre of our film.
2. Outside House Scene Location
The use of this location was to make it feel like the
characters are in danger even though they are close to
the safety of their home.
We also used this location to make use of the low key
lighting of the outdoors to link to the genre of
psychological horror.
3. Alley Scene Location
The alleyway scene needed to have low key lighting to
create a feeling of horror and loneliness for the start of
the film.
As this location takes place at the very start of the film,
it establishes the genre and the overall tone of the
film.
4. Indoor Scene Location
The indoor scene has high key lighting to
establish an area of comfort and safety before
the frightening events in the film start to take
place.
5. Walking Scene Location
We used a very isolated and dark location for the character
to walk in to create a tense atmosphere.
We also made sure we used an isolated location for this
scene because we were portraying the idea of the character
being followed on his way to his friends house. If we used a
busy location for this scene, the idea of him being followed
would not work as well.
Using this location also establishes the idea that the
character is vulnerable at this point of the film.
