9. Task 2b – Action Plan/Schedule
3.1
• For the project I found that drawing the background by hand didn’t
look very good so we decided to draw the title of the poster.
• I kept to blue, red and yellow being the dominant colours because I
thought they worked really well and they strongly reflected the pop
art theme of the poster.
11. Task 2c – Planning
• For the planning of the name we looked a synonyms of the word pop
and thought that the word de – jour would look good on a poster.
• We also planned to draw in the background but after drawing it
realised that it didn’t suit the theme of the poster and wouldn’t look
very good. We instead decided to draw out the title by hand to give it
more of an art feel and scan it into photoshop.

13. Task 5 – Evaluation – Problem Solving
• 1 – I couldn’t made the background I had drawn in photoshop, so I figured
out how to make a custom shape in photoshop and then I added a colour
gradient too it and lowered the opacity to show the pattern I had put on it
to give it a pop art theme.
• 2 – I didn’t know how to blend the images into the background, so I kept
testing things until I realised I could cut the image to fit on a colour block
and add a colour burn effect to make it blend with the colour.
• 3 - I didn’t know how to make the text look good so I put lots of blending
options on it but I realised that the text looked the best when It was basic
and it fitted more with my design.

14. Task 5 – Evaluation – Working with others
• 1 – we decided that we would draw in the title and we both used the
same one so we both didn’t have to make a separate one.
• 2 - one of us made the background for the poster in photoshop and
we emailed it to each other so that we both didn’t have to make it
seperatly.
• 3 – we both worked together to come up with a title for the
exhabition.

15. Task 5 – Evaluation - Feedback
• My tutor showed me how to cut out objects in pictures much faster
which helped me save lots of time and complete the poster on time.
3.5
16. Task 5 – Evaluation – Active Engagement
• I actively engaged with photoshop whilst learning which helped me
progress in photoshop and learn skills that I didn’t have before that I
can then use in future projects.

18. Task 5 – Evaluation
Accessing and storing information

19. Task 6 - How do you learn best?
• What makes it hard for you to study?
• I find it hard to study being sat at one place and not doing anything at all
and just listening to somebody speak as a I zone out a lot and doesn’t end
up listening to what they are saying and I forget it all. I also find it hard to
study if it’s completely silent because I feel like there is nothing happening
and I get really agitated and want to do something.
• What strategies do you think would benefit your studies?
• I think going out and doing things would benefit me, for example when
talking about working on different transitions with cameras; actually going
out and doing it I think I would learn it easier. I also find that talking to
other people about the work always helps me to keep my focus on the
work and I don’t forget what I am doing or get side-tracked so easily.
1.1
20. Task 6 - How do you learn best?
• I find it hard to learn by sitting and writing things down on how to do
things because I can lose concentrating or no longer understand
notes later on
• I think that actively doing things would benefit me because when I do
something I remember how to do it the next time instead of not
doing it and just writing down how to do it in the future.
