5. The reason I have selected these colours is
because they are mostly all colours taken
from an image I plan on using as my front
cover for my magazine so I decided so that I
could keep a running theme of colours I
would use these that match so it all looks
consistent and has a continuing style through
ought the book and all looks classy and neat
from a 1st glance there are also over colours I
have added in like the reds and darker
colours as these will be the ones I use when I
want something to stand out from the
standard colours I've set as the red will look
nice against the cream backdrop I plan on
having this makes things pop out more to the
viewer and just makes it overall look pleasing
to the eyes.
Reasoning for colour choices
7. What my project is
I am making a book/magazine all about classic film photography and the use
of old cameras instead of modern digital ones.
This book will contain guides and resources on how to get started and lots of
general information for anyone to learn. It is not aimed just for beginners I
would like there to be information for both professional photographers who
work in the medium and information for those who are maybe interested in
starting using classic cameras.
The age range I have decided will be my target audience is ages 13+ as I cant
imagine anyone younger understanding this style of photography or even
being interested in it especially with the costs.
The reason I'm making this my project is I don’t think there is as much
information in physical from like books and magazines like there is with
modern digital photography and I know there would be a market for it as
having to use the internet for information isn’t always everyone's favourite
especially with the older generation who definitely consume more written
material than anyone born in my generation as everything is online.
This book would be sold in any high street book shops like WHSmith's and
waterstones.
This is specifically so that anyone can have the chance to read it and buy it
without having to use the internet to find it.
8. Image list for pages
1. A front facing image of my 4x5 intrepid
2. A side facing image of my 4x5 intrepid
3. An image showing the folding directions of the 4x5
intrepid
4. An image of a roll of film
5. An image of unspooling a roll of film
6. An image of how to correctly line up film in a camera
7. An image of a film canister fully loaded correctly into
a camera
8. A image of a box of film
9. A landscape image x2
10. A portrait image x2
11. The bench image for my front cover
This is my planned amount of images I will need for my book.
I have gone with this number as I don’t want there to be too many images and have it take
away from the informative side of the book so I want to keep lots of writing as that’s the main
point of the book.
Another reason for the amount of images is people like seeing what they are reading
especially in a photography book as people will get bored of just blank pages with heaps and
heaps of writing.
9. Resources
Equipment/ Props/software needed Locations needed

11. Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
lights falling over when taking images make sure the light stands are assembled and
stood properly and not wobbly before use
cameras falling off tripods make sure all cameras are attached properly
and made sure they wont fall
lights getting too hot when taking images don’t have the lights on for too long make sure
everything is ready and set up before using
them so you aren’t wasting time letting them
heat up
tripping and falling over wires of computer or
lights
make sure everything is neatly organised so
your not going to trip. Always look where your
walking
if taking photos outside could fall or trip while
moving equipment
make sure if I need help moving equipment
outside I ask for it or just be careful where I'm
going
could be in the way of traffic when taking
photos outside
makes sure if near busy roads to check its all
safe and make sure not to be doing anything
that might endanger myself or someone else
12. Production Schedule
