1. Check the baby's airway for obstructions and clear if needed. Lay the baby on its back and tilt the head back to open the airway. 2. Give 2 slow breaths through the mouth and nose to see if the chest rises. If not, retilt the head and give 2 more breaths. 3. If the chest still does not rise, give 30 quick chest compressions followed by checking for obstructions and 2 breaths. Repeat this cycle until the chest rises or emergency services arrive.
