Germany and Italy supported the general in Spain that was trying to be dictator…this civil war became a practice run for WWII
This led to the chaos that enabled the rise of the Nazi party
Germany would not be satisfied until these injustices had been corrected
Democracies failed to challenge this aggression, so they continued
When Japan was asked by the League of Nations to stop, they just quit the league
Attacked Rhineland and later Sudetenland
Czech government wasn’t even consulted…they gave into German demands…Hitler promised that he was done invading countries
2,000 people killed, most of the aircraft, and sank several battleships…the aircraft carriers were away on maneuvers and escaped destruction
