Howdid you integratetechnologies?

Software
After completingmy prelim tasks,I have
noticedalargeimprovement in termsof
my editingskills.Thisiseasily shown
from my first prelim task tomy final film
opening.IMoviewasan easy softwareto
get my bearingswith asit wasvery
straightforward,for example,on howto
turn aclipfrom normal speedtoslow
motion,for examplethedesert shotshave
all been convertedintoslowmotion,asit
addsmoreof an effect andkeepsthe
audienceattention.What ismoreof an
advantageisthat if I wasunawareof how
todosomethingI couldeasily look upas
it isawell-known editingsoftware.When
lookingback tomy first prelim task,it is
easy tonoticethat I wasunawareof how
tousetransitions.I findthat transitions
havealot of effect on thefinal moving
imagefootageandthisisshown in my
titlesequence.It allowsthedifferent clips
toflowseamlessly which helpsfor my
product tohaveaprofessional quality and
I understandtheimportanceof afilm
flowingcorrectly toholdtheaudiences
attention.Overall,I am happy with
workingwith thissoftwareasit I believe
my film openinghadastrongeffect on
theaudiencewhich wassomethingI
wantedtoachieve.However,if I wereto
completethetask again - I think I would
useadifferent softwaresuch asFinal Cut
Pro.Thisisbecause,it ismoreadvanced
andI wouldbewillingtoaddasmany
professional effectsaspossiblein order to
createasuccessful film.
I usedother software?sthan just IMovie
throughout thisproject which helpedmy
work bemorecreativeandattractiveto
theaudiencewhom arelookingat my
work.Thesoftware?sI usedwerePrezi and
Powtoon.Thesetwosoftware?shavemany
differences,Prezi isamoreattractive
alternativetoMicrosoft Powerpoint asit
hasdifferent themes,transitions,fonts
andcolours.I usedPrezi afewtimesfor
someof my secondary research aswell my
evaluation.I believeit ismoreartisticand
attractivetolook at when it isembedded
on my blog.Thissoftwarehowever can be
unreliableasit isonline,andsavingwork
onlineisvery unpredictable.So,I hadto
makesurethat I wasalwayssavingand
makingnotesof what waswritten down so
that noneof my work wasdeleted.Thisis
theonesimilarity that both of these
software?ssharewithin each other,being
online.Powtoon wasmoredifficult to
work with asI wasnewtoit andhadn?t
usedit beforethisproject,soI hadtobea
quick learner when usingit aswell astry
topresent my work effectively.Overall,
thesoftwareisvery attractivehowever,I
wouldn?t useit again when tryingtofit
loadsof information in it asit doesn?t
allowalot of time.

WE ARE BEYOND EXCITED. SO MUCH SO, WE INTERVIEWED
THE DIRECTOR OF THE FILM, READ BELOW WHAT SHE HAS

Hardware
Thecamerathat I shot most of my film openingwith wasthe
Nikon D300.Thiscamerawasvery easy towork with dueto
my basicskillsthat I already hadbeforeI hadusedtheproduct.
Overall,I wasvery pleasedwith howthequality turnedout and
wouldusethiscameraagain if I weretoreproducemy film.
Thisisbecause,theshot I usedin thedesert I wasn?t expecting
topquality however,comparedtotheIPhonequality (shown in
behindthescenesevaluations- video),I am gladI wasableto
havetheopportunity tousethiscamera.I didhowever usean
IPhonefor twoshotsof my titlesequence(Burj Kalifaand
Dubai?sDancingFountains),andI am happy with howoneof
theshotsturnedout which isthefirst shot of thewholefilm,
theBurj Kalifa.Thepicturequality wasmorecrispfor an
IPhonecomparedtotheDancingFountainsshot.Thesetwo
shotsarecompletely different asin thedancingfountainsshot
thereislightsandwater movingconstantly which madeit
harder for metofocusthecameraon onepoint astheroutine
of thedancingfountainswasunpredictable.Furthermore,if I
weretoreshoot thisshot I wouldnot usean IPhoneduetothe
quality at night.Nevertheless,I am still pleasedwith howthe
Burj Kalifashot turnedout asit wasvery smooth andI wasable
toedit it in slowmotion which madeit look moreprofessional
andin my eyesI wouldn?t beabletoseethedifferenceif I were
tousetheNikon cameraor theIPhone,which isan advantage.

When I hadfirst usedblogger I wasunawareof howto
useit andmakethebloglook asprofessional as
possible.However,asI began touseit moreandmore
when postingall of my pre-production work,my
bloggingskillshadimprovedandI wasabletomakeit
look asappealingasI could,for exampleaddingan
appropriatebackground.
Usingblogger allowedmetouploadmy work that I
hadcompletedthroughout my production phases(pre
production mostly)on thecomputer in itsbest
quality.However,it wasn?t assimpleasit wouldn?t
accept uploadingaworddocument asajpg,sofor
every document I hadcompletedI hadtouploadonto
SlideSharefirst andthen usetheembedcodefrom
thereandtransfer ontotheblog.Thisprocesswasn?t
difficult however,it took sometimeasI hadalot of
documentsthat neededtobeuploadedontomy blog
aspart of my pre-production work.
Integration of Technology
Overall,theuseof different combinationsof technology
throughout thisproject wasvery helpful andimportant tome,
in order tobeassuccessful asI can.It addedmorecreativity
andkept meinterestedin thework I waspresentingtoothers.
Assoon asI receivedanewtask in preproduction of my film
openingI wasmoreopen tonewsuggestionson howto
present it andwillingtodevelopsomenewskillsalongwith it.
For example,I am nowabletousePowtoon quitesuccessfully
asI am abletoknowhowtouseit properly nowandthisis
from usingthistopresent someof thesecondary research I
hadconductedwithin thepreproduction.Another exampleis
producingmy pre-lim tasks,without thedifferent prelim
tasksI don?t believemy film wouldhaveturnedout theway it
did.AsI wasabletopractisethedifferent camerashotsand
when they aremost suitabletousewhilst at thesametimeget
toknowhowtouseacameraproperly.
