1. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product ?

2. The various types of technologies included cameras, tripods, final cut pro as well as many more in process of constructing the product i learnt various things. Firstly for example I learnt that it is important to bring spares of everything especially if your location is a distance away, I learnt this on our first trail shooting we discovered the tripod leg was broken and the battery had not been fully charged although we worked with what we had the day would have been more productive if we had checked these things before hand.

However on our second outing we checked the tripod and battery before we left and brought along two fully charger batteries this enable us to take lots of good shots and gather enough footage to have multiply shot choices, this proved beneficial when it came to editing as we noticed errors with certain shots we had planned to use, and where then able to use the shots we had as backup. The software we used to edit our product was Final Cut Pro, I found this software better in terms of quality but more complicated than I movie which we had used in our preliminary task, one problem that I encountered with final cut pro was the constant need to render the visual and audio this was a fault that I did not overcome as even when I had rendered a clip and saved it when I reopened it sometimes it would require re-rendering this proved both frustrating and time consuming.

4. The key things we focused on whilst editing was to ensure we used continuity editing. We decided to use ambient sound played alongside a soundtrack “The Grudge” to add realisms to our media product. Another problem we had with the technologies was when editing we couldn’t work out how to put credits on our product using Final Cut Pro we overcame this problem by exporting the product with out credits then uploading it into IMovie which we had used in our preliminary task and created the credits in this although this made our product look less professional this would be one of the things i would do differently next time
