1. HOW DID YOU USE NEW MEDIA
TECHNOLOGIES IN THE
CONSTRUCTION, RESEARCH AND
PLANNING AND EVALUATION
STAGES?

2. We used two cameras for our coursework, one for videoing and
one for taking pictures.
When taking the pictures for our ancillary tasks of making the
Magazine Front Cover and the Film Poster, we used a Sony Cyber
shot. When it came to the filming of our Teaser Trailer we used a
canon camera.

3. When filming our teaser Trailer, we used a range of professional
equipment we had access to, these were as listed below;
• A Boom pole to hold the microphone in place and enable it to
be extended
• An LED light for extra exposure and lighting on darkened
shots
• A reflector for the light from the LED to bounce off of
• A Microphone to record direct sound in a clear way
• A Dead Cat to mask the sound of the wind or any excess
noise when filming outside

4. We were able to have access to the best technology when it came
to editing our photos and producing our Film Poster and
Magazine Front Cover.
We used Photoshop for this and I think it produced good quality
ancillary tasks for our coursework.
Having the ability to access Photoshop enabled us to play around
with the features of the software, experimenting until we found
specific elements we wanted to include in the ancillary tasks.

5. When it came to editing our Teaser Trailer, we used Adobe
Premier Pro as technically, it was the best software we had access
too.
After taking some time to figure out how to use Premier Pro
effectively, it became a lot easier to complete the editing quicker.
As I was going along, the editing became easier and easier as I
was finding out new shortcuts and tricks to use on the trailer.
When I did struggle, I watched some YouTube videos which
showed step by step ways to complete the tasks I needed to and
couldn't’t figure out on my own.

6. When being filmed and interviewed for my evaluation, I again had to use
Adobe Premier Pro to edit the footage created, I took my time inserting clips
form my Teaser Trailer to add effect.
Having the access to all this technology and equipment benefitted me greatly
when completing my coursework. I feel that it enabled me to produce
professional work in both my main task and ancillary task.
