1. In this picture, Leo shows me how the library has
TV’s all around so that the students and other visitors
have a clear idea of where they are located or how to
find a certain place at the library.
2. Here Leo shows me how to look up a book on the
University’s of West GA library database. When
we typed in the name of the book, it gave us a
code and the floor number where the book was
located. We then took the elevator to the third
floor.
3. After we looked on
the computer to find
the location of the
book called “Memoirs
of Geisha” Leo helped
me find it on the third
floor of the library.
4. It was very interesting to
find that the library has a
quiet floor in which
students can go when they
have to focus a lot on either
their readings, studying for
tests or simply homework. I
feel like that is such a great
thing for any library to
have, especially when it
comes to Universities.
5. Since I did not have my computer at the moment, Leo showed
me how any student has the possibility to check out
computers, headphones and even dry erase markers for when
they are in the library. The library assistants are always in
their desks available for any help that students, staff, etc.
might need.
6. All around the first floor
of the library, there are
dry erase boards so that
students and other
people can have a way of
practicing and studying
for their classes. It was a
great resource to have for
when Leo and I were
analyzing parts of the
book that we found.
7. After a long afternoon
of hard work at the
library, Leo and I had a
chance to go to the
Starbucks located on
the first floor of the
library and we had a
drink before leaving. It
was a great learning
experience coming to
this great library.
