5. Our Vision
~ Depression is something many people struggle
with on a daily basis that may lead to suicide.
~ When we take action with this project, we can
make progress to lower suicide rates.
~ Even if progress is slow, it does not mean you
give up. Perseverance comes with success.
~ Raise awareness because suicide is a reality .
6. Big Goal:
● Understanding- Around 20% of Teenagers suffer from
depression before they reach adulthood. Depression occurs about in 2% of
children and 4 to 7%in adults, impacting 20% of teenagers by the time they
reach adulthood.
● Getting involved- We think this issue is a very big deal and
that everyone should get involved in some way to help teenagers with
depression and get the help they need and deserve.
● Why it’s a big deal- Teenage awareness of depression and
suicide is one of the most unnoticed issues in this world.
7. Why we are passionate
•We are passionate about mental health because we believe that everyone should
be accepted for who they are.
•We are passionate about mental health because we have teammates that have
depression and anxiety.
•We are passionate about mental health because we (I) have lost a friend.
•We are passionate about mental health because kids lose their life everyday
because of mental health.
Even as I write, I’m having trouble explaining ‘It’
8. Non-Profit Organizations
National Awareness of Mental Illness(NAMI)
● Nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization
● Dedicated to building better lives for those affected by mental illnesses
● Works with reporters to increase awareness
Mental Health America
● Treatment for anybody with any mental Illness
● Provides services that include early identification and intervention for those at risk
The reason why we have chose these two organizations is because they show that they have the deepest understanding about
teenage mental illnesses. Mental Health America is a prime example because they not only help teens with depression and anxiety,
but other mental illnesses as well.

I know the feeling
You’re stuck out on the ledge
And there ain't no healing
From cuttin' yourself with the jagged edge
I'm telling you that you’re gonna be fine
All you gotta do is just take your time
You're laid out on the floor and you're not sure
You can’t take it anymore
Well everyone can hit the bottom
And everyone can feel forgotten
Well everyone’s tired of being alone
You don’t have to do it all on your own
And left a little empty handed
So if you're out there barely hangin', on
Just give it one more try
With a lullaby
And turn this up on the radio
If you can hear me now
I'm reachin' out to let you know
That you're not alone
Well everyone can hit the bottom
And everyone’s can feel forgotten
Well everyone gets tired doing it on their own
But now stop,
you’re not alone
