both sides.
When you ask someone’s opinion hoping they pick your side, they will not be
directly involved, regardless of the sympathy they have for you; their emotions are
not so mixed up with the equation.
Therefore their analysis may sound light or unfair. And you will say, “but you don’t
understand. And they won’t. Because they don’t have their emotions involved, much
less yours. Their equation at hand is: Subject (views, facts, background) > possible
solution.
